  1. The game. Ref let a lot go from both sides and that meant it was the most free flowing of our 6 meetings with the Chairboys. Very little of the stop/start game of the previous 5 meetings. Despite the result, the neutral in me liked the game a lot more than the fan or the coach. Decent moves from both sides, very few of which ended in real chances. NML put 2 over and CBT tripped over his laces, or something similar, a yard out with the keeper nowhere to be seen. They had 1 blazed over and forced a very good save from Wildsmith late on. We will be disappointed at not making more of our superior 1st half. They will feel the same about the 2nd half. There were more occasions where either side should have done better with a shot. Kone twice and then Washington who should have hit the ball first time instead of taking a touch... All in all, a draw was the right result. We no longer have things in our hands but neither Posh nor the Trotters will win all of their remaining games as they play each other on the last day and Trotters play Pompey this weekend. 2nd spot is still wide open and will not, IMO, be decided until the last day. Still all to play for and, surely, we'll play better in the final third in the last 3 games, won't we?
  2. Looks like that final will be on TNTSport. Tune in to see how Daj does?
  3. Personally, I've never actually seen a round tuit. Does anybody have a picture of one? 😉
  4. Have you thought of hospitality? More expensive but it looks like there are still some spots available....
  5. After Orient there's just 2 games to go... for us. 3 for Bolton. their extra one is Tuesday 16th against Shrews at the Toughsheet. Here's hoping they have "Toughsheet" 😉
  6. @eddielewis The Grimsby Manager isn't too complimentary about him, nor about the ref's assistant who saw a handball nobody else did 4 weeks ago in their match against Sutton Utd. https://thedeck.news/grimsby-town-boss-slams-officials/
  7. Scavers, as spelt on the COYR forum by B4 when he used to post on there some years ago.
  8. Not so much fancying them, just recognising their particular brand of "football" is not one we tend to do well against. Physical, stealing 15+ yards at throws, Taking an age to take dead ball situations as long as it's still 0-0, falling over as if poleaxed if you look at them too hard, destroying any flow to the game etc.
  9. ... and the scavers. B4 always mentioned the two as a pair, scavers and flanges. Can't have the one without the other.
  10. That might just be because, according to PW at the recent Fan Forum, no contracts will be offered before the end of the season...
  11. Regardless of the quality, to have 12 shots off less than 30% possession isn't that bad. Posh only managed 18 from over 70%. If they find their scoring boots instead of their shooting boots...
  12. I'm struggling to find the number of yards stolen at throw ins stat... 😉
  13. 29% possession yet still managed 12 shots... Posh just 18 from their 71%. 5 on target between them and one of those was an overhit cross that sailed into the top left hand corner in the 91st minute to decide the game...
  14. Just over 1000 home tickets left for the Orient game...
  15. Just had a butcher's at the head to head with this lot... W2 D2 L1 This fixture has very little history. Next week's game will be the 6th ever meeting.
  16. Just thrown a tenner their way. Hope everybody chips in with their bit. 100 £1 donations is still £100. 100 tenners is even better 🙂
  17. ... or 3 miles east of Burton?
  18. Clickbait, agreed. However, when they actually say something rather than the speculation they mainly post, it's generally spot on although 95% of what they post is pure speculation, the rest is copied from other sources. So, 5% of their posts are accurate... this was one. Seems Fozzy, like Collo, looks like getting back early. Good news if true. Went on Wycombe when the Couhig thing started to ask their view on it. I was polite, they responded in kind, had some discussion on there, not always agreed with each other but it's been civilised, even when I faulted their "style" although I do understand why they play that way. I'm one of the last few on FootyMad. Joined this one when COYR went south. Used to run the East Midlands Collective before that ended up with a handful of posters from a top of 500. My background? Played till I was 53. Last few years as player/coach, UEFA B qualified. Coached the youth keepers at my local club for about 10 years. Qualified ref as well. Quit that 2 years ago after a broken fibula that needed 2 operations left me not able to keep up with play box to box for 90 minutes. Always said I'd never become the ref that never left the centre circle so, at 68 and true to my word, I stopped.
  19. Forsyth now joins Ryan Nyambe and Jake Rooney in the group of players unlikely to feature again this season Source: https://the72.co.uk/2024/03/29/two-huge-boosts-derby-county-team-news-and-predicted-xi-to-face-blackpool/ Same story on derbycounty.news
  20. Read/heard on dcfc.co.uk from a PW interview in the week following the Bolton game IIRC.
  21. 38K? We'd take more than that. Having said that their >15K Wembley following is THREE times their average home gate of 4919, we took more than that average to Barnsley...
  22. Everything I've seen/heard has been Foz out for the season. Possibly not heard everything though. Bird is due to be available from the Wycombe game. Barks is training but not yet match ready IIRC.
