  1. Way too soon to think about next season. We still don't KNOW which League we'll be in. More than half the squad is out of contract this summer. How anyone can say we won't this or can't that is way premature. The current squad and style probably won't work in the SBC. However, if we do go up you can expect 10 out and as many in and feasibly a change of style as PW has found out, to his cost on 2 occasions, what DOENS'T work in the SBC. Hopefully we'll have decent financial backing and be able to put together more of a footballing side capable of going wide and putting crosses in AND playing through the middle on the floor AND playing balls into the channels. The best teams can do all 3...
  2. RamsTV 1Wildsmith 6 no shots on target. Quiet afternoon, dealt well with crosses. 35Nelson 7 5Bradley 7.5 6Cashin 7 2Wilson 6.5 12Smith 7.5 23Fornah 6 32Adams 7.5 10Waghorn 6 17Sibley 7.5 16 Tommo 7 4Hourihane 6 9Collins 6.5 14Washington 6 11Méndez-Laing 6.5 7Barkhuisen 6.5
  3. Him, Cash and Sibs are the only 3 left from the U18 Champions side (Bird's off in the summer). If we don't go up I expect Cash to go as well. I hope all 3 are with us next season.
  4. I think the beeb was, and still is, unsure. Go to their results page and click on the game and you'll see the opener down as an OG. Scroll down into the match report and it says Wilson scored it. I said pre match that matching the midweek 1st half performance but with improved shooting would see us win. We didn't match it, we bettered it and kept it up all game. 3 goals, all from set pieces, and we won at a canter in the end. The O's managed 6 shots, none of them on target meaning JW had a quiet afternoon. Great performance from the crowd too. Here's to those lucky enough to have a ticket for Cambridge make lots of noise as usual. See y'all for the Carlisle game. It's back in our own hands. Keep calm. Keep focused. We'll be rate.
  5. I know. I come back frequently. Carlisle will be my 8th game this season. Current stats are W6 and D1 of the 7 games I've seen at PP this season. Looking to make it 7 and 1 on the 27th.
  6. Indeed. came here for 3 months in 1984... still here. Masted Ram was another nom de plume I toyed with but decided to go with MadAmster.
  7. Plus ANOTHER £88 for the train plus 60 to 70 for a hotel at best. Add in beer, food and a match ticket and that's €450. I'd usually expect to pay that flying into Brum Friday morning, 2 nights hotel, Train, match ticket, food and beer, back Sunday afternoon, not for a 24 hour rush...
  8. National League Player of the Month. Great showing young un. https://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/2024/04/out-on-loan-brown-wins-national-league-player-of-the-month-award
  9. @Mucker1884 I was at that Bournemouth game. I vividly remember a very nice looking WPC who was treated to a chorus of "GYTOFTL". She laughed. Today, a similar serenading would see half a dozen arrested. Another memory was, on the way back to the car, we came across a Bournemouth fan, spark out, checked he was alive, got someone in a house across the road to phone an ambulance. Lad was OK, fortunately.
  10. Just looked, 363 left. Thought about flying over for it... flights booked this late are a tad expensive... Think I'll stick with RamsTV for this one. See you at PP for the Carlisle game.
  11. Warne always gives the Captaincy to the player TO the biggest c*** 😉
  12. Bolton's to throw away yes, Posh, however, have to gain as many or more points than us and overcome 5 goal GD deficit. We match them for goals and our relation to them is in our hands.
  13. Pathak could find himself in trouble for that. Accusing PW and the players of taking a bribe. Does he really think that players would miss out on the chance to get a promotion on their CV? Success would be worth much more in the long run than a bribe ...
  14. It's all theoretical though, isn't it? Their "advantage" includes beating both Pompey and Posh. As Wycombe showed last night, sides with "nothing to play for" other than pride can surprise you. That game had a flow to it. Little to none of the stop/start lack of tempo our previous, and only, 5 games against them had. No "easy" games going forward for Posh, Trotters or us. It's going to be hard going for all 3 clubs.
  15. On TV Wildsmith 6.5 2Wilson 7 35Nelson 7.5 6Cashin 7.5 17Sibley 6.5 11Méndez-Laing 4 12Smith 6 16Thompson 6 32Adams 8 27Blackett-Taylor 3 4Hourihane 7 14Washington 5 7Barkhuizen 6 9Collins 5 10Waghorn. 5
  16. The game. Ref let a lot go from both sides and that meant it was the most free flowing of our 6 meetings with the Chairboys. Very little of the stop/start game of the previous 5 meetings. Despite the result, the neutral in me liked the game a lot more than the fan or the coach. Decent moves from both sides, very few of which ended in real chances. NML put 2 over and CBT tripped over his laces, or something similar, a yard out with the keeper nowhere to be seen. They had 1 blazed over and forced a very good save from Wildsmith late on. We will be disappointed at not making more of our superior 1st half. They will feel the same about the 2nd half. There were more occasions where either side should have done better with a shot. Kone twice and then Washington who should have hit the ball first time instead of taking a touch... All in all, a draw was the right result. We no longer have things in our hands but neither Posh nor the Trotters will win all of their remaining games as they play each other on the last day and Trotters play Pompey this weekend. 2nd spot is still wide open and will not, IMO, be decided until the last day. Still all to play for and, surely, we'll play better in the final third in the last 3 games, won't we?
  17. Looks like that final will be on TNTSport. Tune in to see how Daj does?
  18. Personally, I've never actually seen a round tuit. Does anybody have a picture of one? 😉
  19. Have you thought of hospitality? More expensive but it looks like there are still some spots available....
  20. After Orient there's just 2 games to go... for us. 3 for Bolton. their extra one is Tuesday 16th against Shrews at the Toughsheet. Here's hoping they have "Toughsheet" 😉
  21. @eddielewis The Grimsby Manager isn't too complimentary about him, nor about the ref's assistant who saw a handball nobody else did 4 weeks ago in their match against Sutton Utd. https://thedeck.news/grimsby-town-boss-slams-officials/
  22. Scavers, as spelt on the COYR forum by B4 when he used to post on there some years ago.
