Posted August 15, 201212 yr on my holidays in a couple of hours time and will miss the first three league games, which look like tough games on paper. After last night, i'm not sure what to think. We could play pretty well and come out with 1 point. What do you think we should expect in terms of points from the first three games? I think 3 points would be par, 4 decent, 5 or 6 and i'd be very happy, beyond that i just can't see.

August 15, 201212 yr Agree. Expect 3, 4 would be good, 6 would be great, and 9 would mean I was asleep and dreaming.
August 15, 201212 yr I'm not massively concerned with points at this stage - if we can keep up the attacking qualities we showed last night but cut out the sillyness at the back, I'll be pretty happy, even if we don't win a game out of the three. That said, I think we're more than capable of beating Wednesday, and I think it's probably a good time to be playing Bolton and Wolves so we're again more than capable of getting 2 or 3 points from those 2 games.
August 15, 201212 yr Hard 3 games, Wolves and Bolton away is no easy ask but better to get them early on! I'll go 4 points - if we did what we did last season I would be over the moon!
August 15, 201212 yr Almost impossible to predict because our first 3 fixtures all against teams new to the league this season.Wouldn't expect to score from as many set-pieces as we did last night.
August 15, 201212 yr I think when you come back, we'll be top of the league, and Forest will be 22nd...
August 15, 201212 yr I think Win 3-0 Draw Draw 5points Forest Will beat Bristol and lose to Huddersfield and Bolton away. Well both be around 12th when you get back.
August 15, 201212 yr 4 would be a good return. 6 best we can realistically get. 9 is dreamland both in your head and on the pitch.
August 15, 201212 yr Well we conceded 5 to Ssausagehorpe and what you do in your first game always sets your pattern for the season, and your form in the cup is always the same as your form in the league. So baring in mind we conceded 5 to Ssausagehorpe in a very average game which is clearly how we will play every game, I think Wed will score 7 and Bolton and Wolves will get double figures. I can't see us getting a point. Last night is worrying because that is exactly what every single game will be like because we sold Shackell and won't play Bailey.

Admit it you are Adrian Mole aged 131/2.
August 15, 201212 yr Admit it you are Adrian Mole aged 131/2. I'm too young to know who that is so yes, I admit it.
August 15, 201212 yr Why not 9? We've scored 5 in every competitive game in the last 3 months and we're talking about 3 points as par? Get a grip. It's 9 points in the bag as far as I'm concerned. COYR!
August 30, 201212 yr Author Well I'm back from my hols and see we have less points than we hoped. Some good play by all accounts, but not the points.
