Belper's alright, had me lunch in the greenhouse on saturday whilst watching the cricket, not bad. For that reason alone, I like you Belper. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> (The member, not the town...).

Back on topic - make or break this year I think

Nigel Clough has urged American youngster Conor Doyle to make an impact at Derby County in the 2012-13 season.

The USA under-23 international forward, who turns 21 in October, is now entering his third year at Pride Park.

He joined Derby as an 18-year-old on the eve of the 2010-11 season after a successful pre-season trial and went on to make 14 appearances during that campaign.

Ankle and hamstring injuries restricted him to just six outings last season, including just a single start, and Clough says Texas-born Doyle needs to use that disappointment to his advantage and make up for lost time.

He said: "I think Conor has a big 3-4 months ahead of him, which started from the first day of pre-season training.

"He will be in the squad of 18-20 man we're thinking about and he has to make his mark in the first team in the next few months."

Clough spoke of Doyle's impressive form in training last season and says he wants the 20-year-old to take that form into match situations, when he gets his chance.

"We've seen a lot of good things from Conor in the last two seasons, especially in training, but it's time for him now to take it out onto the pitch," he said.

"He's had to have some time to settle after come over from America and physically it's totally different for him, but just when we thought he'd caught up he suffered quite a few injuries last season.

"This is the season where if he's going to do it, he's going to have to blossom."

He seems to be at the front

I've noticed that as well Belper. It's always Hendrick, Doyle and Galinski leading from the front. I'd think NC is the type of manager where you can force your way into the team on pre-season effort. Galinski in particular looks as if he's come back in great shape and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him get a game or two pre-season.

I like Conor Doyle, I haven't seen too much of what they all talk about him offering, but I like him cos of where he came from, how he got here and how he's handled himself since arriving. Honestly though, I don't see him getting ahead of any of the strikers at the moment and feel Coutts may have pushed him further down on the right hand side as well.

Loan him out to the Brewers and get him some games, I don't want him going home without having a run of games somewhere.

Wasn't ward up front too

Yep Wardy is another, I love him and his narky ways so much I sometimes take him for granted, I don't want to confuse anyone who may doubt my sexual preferences after this post but feck me Wardys physique yesterday looked tremendous, the point about them coming back in great shape is definitely noticeable. I'm really looking forward to Wednesday cos I think we're ALL itching to go.

If only leagues were won on running and the size of your 6 pack, we would be well away.

How anyone can call B4 a WUM is beyond me after reading the last few posts, they are the sort of thing that I would expect to see on a Brighton forum.

Saying that I think this is turning into one off the most amusing threads I have read 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

i know leeds can be a bit rough and backwards with its views but do you not think It is possible to make a comment on another mans physique without being sexually aroused . Ive even got a pink shirt that I wear for meetings sometimes. Should i burn it in case my "gayness" is contagious.

Nobody mentioned winning he league by the way. Im just saying the lads look fit and ready to go. Sorry if I am in the wrong place to be enthusastic about the start of the season. Maybe you can point me to a derby fans forum where that is allowed.

as for b4, I didnt see anything on the thread saying he was a wind up and Id prefer to keep my views on him private.

Dont get me wrong, Im all for this PC lark, maybe instead of the normal handshakes before the game they could all line up with their six packs out, refs judge them and who ever wins gets a goal head start.

I do apologise if I offended you though, I really did think this thread was highly amusing and the bit about narky "Jamie" was a great post, it was all meant in jest 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

If Doyle makes a positive impact at Derby this year I'll get "I hate Nottingham Forest Football Club" tattooed on my penis.

I'm only talkiing about mine here, but i reckon that could look quite nice in "Kuwaitian"
