smiffy
Agreed. We were brilliant under Bd/PJ in the Prem and also under Jewell in this division. Why we ever got rid and appointed this pudding I'll never know. Davies has proven to be three times the manager Clough is in this Division
Mr Tibbs
Davies has proven to be three times the manager Clough is in this Division Never said he wasn't. Just disputing the fact someone thinks we've only been ***** since Clough arrived.

Apart from a few spells of say eight games we have, even some of the games we have won have been absolute tripe, it just happened that in those particular games we were less tripe than our opponents, (maybe we went a bit quicker in the last third 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ). Billy ["Oh, if only it had been Preston"] Davies. Second only to Tommy Docherty, some would say.

smiffy
Don't suppose you're counting the Brian Clough trophy? Nope, and how many seasons was it before he came that we won anything. I am not saying Davies was the finest thing since sliced bread, but apart from Burley's semi-final, it was the Bald Eagle, and some folk still say he did nothing. ramesses
Will Smiffy’s campaign for the rehabilitation of wee Billy strike a positive chord on an otherwise tetchy forum? It’s a tense moment…
AndyB
Billy Davies achieved higher Championship finishes than Clough at Derby and Forest. But with a much bigger player budget. It doesn't mean Billy Davies is a better manager than Clough. We don't know what Clough would achieve with Billy Davies' budgets and we don't know what Davies would achieve with Clough's current budget. Once again, I've not disputed the fact we have been ***** since Nige arrived, just argued that the shitness started way before Clough Jnr arrived, probably started by the manager you speak so highly of. For the record, I don't think we have been that *****. Mediocre to below average through my rose tinted glasses.

Fair dues, but I do know that Davies did it, he won promotion, thats all I care about. You don't know that Clough would.
marko
Will Smiffy’s campaign for the rehabilitation of wee Billy strike a positive chord on an otherwise tetchy forum? It’s a tense moment… doubt it.....every club he's left has been knackered! Motherwell, Preston, us and the Redends. Might be a good motivator and tactician but couldn't manage a **** on his own. Puts all his buddies on the payroll so they can back him up when he gets out of his depth and with his last 2 clubs he's realised that there's good money to be made from slagging off the chairman, getting sacked and walking away with a big fat check for bugger all...thankyou very much!!! MarkDcfc1
I would rather us not get promoted as we arient ready yet.Our tartget for this season should be a top 10 finish and decent cup runs which will give us funds for next season.I think this season should be about giving the Inexperienced Ob,Hughes etc Game time so they will be ready if we did go up.
