The board.

if they made anything available in terms of a transfer budget then we wouldnt have to sell our established centre backs simple.

im sure i heard an interview by Glick last closed season saying how we were still looking for an established centre forward and that if the right target was available then there was money available.

Well why then are we now scratting around for a few quid here and there?

Billy sharpe came and went this january for 1.5m - established enough? scored enough at this level? 1.5m ?

yes , yes and a snip.

yet no, nothing , zip, nada, niente ??

i blame the bored ,yes Nigel has made mistakes along the way, but there arnt many managers who wouldnt and considering the amount of cost cutting hes done whilst giving us a younger and potentially brighter future then hes doing ok in my book.

probably more so as lets not kid ourselves mr Jewell and Davies left us with a lot of dead overpaid wood to get rid of

Just a supporter who's entitled to an opinion like everybody else. It would be a sad world if everbody agreed with each other.

Are you sure we're all entitled to have our say? Some people seem to become quite angry if we don't agree with them.

couldn't agree with you more BOB BIGGS. I'm finding it a lot. If people dont want others to disagree I wonder why they bother putting their opinions on a forum in the 1st place...isn't that what a forum is all about? freedom of speech and open discussion?

Opinions on this forum may be challenged but at the end of the day everyone is entitled to state what they think and/or believe.

I echo my 1st comment. Opinions are what we all have and are we are all entitled to and a forum is where we are all invited to let them be known. Nobody's opinion should be labelled "rubbish", nor should anybody be verbally attacked for having and venting an opinion on a forum...thats the purpose of a forum is it not?

You were talking rubbish in that post IMHO 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='^_^' /> , you were criticizing BD, yet Clough has done exactly the same. I am entitled, as is everybody, to criticize Billy Davies. I was merely trying to make the point that "in my opinion" BD was not the great manager that some people believe him to be. I dont claim to be right or wrong but I am entitled to have an opinion without being verbally attacked in an agressive manner. We all want the same for this club and we've all seen good times and bad times and have different opinions and outlooks on them all, which we ate all entitled to comment on.

Verbally attacked in an aggressive manner, in the words of J Mac, "you can not be serious" 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

No one is disputing your rights.

You said Davies surrounded himself with his mates, yeah, so, what about N C ?, mmm, what sayest thou.

I sayest that the major difference "in my opinion"...lol...is that BD went from club to club taking with him his usual gathering of mates. Motherwell, Preston, Derby and another club (the name escapes me at the moment) have all been left struggling at the end of his reign, both financially and ability wise. Whereas NC and his buddies are at the moment rookies in this industry and have only had 1 previous employer. If...in the next 10years NC and his merry men flit from club to club, falling out with chairmen and walk away with big compensation payouts I will be the 1st to hold my hands up to you and agree with you but given that NC has not got the ciaching requirements to find another club I very much doubt it would happen. This is purely MY opinion.

If Clough and his mates are still here for the next six and a half years, I fear the suicide rate in Derby and the Shire will rise significantly, I hope for that reason alone he takes a walk.

I fear there could be a shortage of ropes in Derby in 6 years time then. Personally I think that the board are the problem. I agree with some peoples opinion that NC is a yes man but at the same time I also feel that since he's arrived he's had his hands tied behind his back. All good managers deserve a chance to manage before being judged and unless NC is given a proper transfer kitty instead of a "whipround" I dont think he's been given the chance to show us what he can really achieve!
