Spurs wage bill is double Arsenals, they have famously got a very strict wage structure that spurs havent ,he has spent over 200 million at Spurs and won, nothing at all, nothing...and he wont ever win anything.

The most disloyal person in football, keep him away from my national team, let him sit at home counting his money and learning to text.

Well not according to the accounts, Spurs wage bill is 40% less. Also the net spend is just under 19million

Only one team can win the league though, they may win the FA cup, so if Spurs finished in the top 4 thats a good season for them. Every club has realistic ambtions surely, if they won the league many would think he is a great manager, when he took over they were 16th odd werent they?

I think the next England manager needs to understand English football. No point bringing in a successful import who hasn't any knowledge of the English game, who'll need 6 months getting familiar with the territory.

Got no problems with Harry. Think he's done well as a manager.

Personally I think Arry would do a reasonable job for England. He wouldn't have wheeling and dealing with dodgy agents to distract him and I presume the FA would pay him legally into an account in his name.

Its that disloyal, greedy, don't give a toss whether the club goes bust, fook off when the money runs out attitude of his that grates.

There is a reason that Bournemouth, West Ham, Saints and Pompey fans dislike him so much.

Having said that, he would probably get us to a Semi-Final in Brazil 2014.

Does anyone else get a feeling that the Harry for England may end up like Cloughies? Clough should have got the job, but the FA couldn't handle him the way they wanted, could this be a similiar situation with Harry?

Apart from the obvious class between the two managers, no.

England job should go to the best available option, and that is not Harry! I already know I am going to be completely under-whelmed by the choice and we'll have a miserable summer finishing 3rd in the group stage.

  • 1 month later...

Still see Parker and Bale are the most over-rated players in the premiership for another year running, and Harry is the most over-rated manager... three cheers for Tottenham!

my head of year's a Spurs fan and has been trying to argue to me that Bale is the best player in the PL. He says he's young, quick, skillful and (the one that reallly irritates me) British. Not English though is he?

I don't know why teams like Liverpool and Tottenham don't take the Europa League seriously.. They're never going to win the CL and the competing in the Europa League can attract better players..

You only have to look at the likes of Atletico Madrid and Valencia to see what European football (be it the Europa League) means to the players..

I think it's ridiculous how the likes of Aston Villa, Liverpool and Spurs have as such purposely dropped out in recent seasons just to 'focus on the league' when finishing outside the top 4 is pointless anyway.. Why focus on the league if you're only going to finish 6th and qualify for the same tournament that you just purposely dropped out of.. Stupid.

Spurs should have given it a good go at winning in the Europa League this year..

Love the irony there Bris............teams like Liverpool are never going to win the Champions League...........!!!!!

5 times is it?

I know what you mean, the Spanish are ahead of the English teams in skill and style but, as Chelsea, Manure and Liverpool have shown, the English mentality (even with foreign players) is capable of driving teams on to the latter stages of the Champions League on a regular basis.
