Norwich manager Paul Lambert is ready to make a bid for Nottingham Forest pair Chris Gunter and Garath McCleary as he looks to build on the Canaries' impressive Premier League form next season.

On the Beeb's gossip section.

That would be a shame.....

If forest stay up however, what do people think the odds on them finishing bottom the year later will be? I think id put a couple hundred on it.. a team in financial ****, with barely any players and has beens on large wages that don't give a **** about the club.

sure thing for success 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I think there is some papering over of the cracks at forest, and I expect some of their fans are worried what will happen when the whistle blows at the end of their game with Portsmouth. I think the team has managed to get over what has caused them to basically free fall this year, and the loan signings have steadied the ship, however that could all change if the loans get called back, which could happen.

If you compare our results (in the league) with forest from January, both teams have played 14 games, W5, D3 and L6, 18 points from 42, barely midtable form! However if forest keep up that form they will be safe as the clubs below them are way worse.

I still think that this is the billy davies effect, all you have to do is look at PNE, us and forest. As soon as he jumps ship the house of cards comes tumbling down. I am sure that he comes in with a 3 year plan and to give him some credit, he makes teams win enough matches to get to the play-offs, and managed to get one promoted. However that is all he can do, both players and manager where found out very quickly in the Prem, and the majority of play-offs reached he has fallen short. For some reason he is given the tools, and can build the team, however there is always that little something missing, and when he goes, it all falls apart.... reminds me of the Emporer's New Clothes.

However this time I think he has done way more damage that what he did at PNE or here, and if forest falter and do get relegated it is going to be a long hard road back. The only chance to get a buyer that will back them is to avoid relegation.

Isn't Billy notorious for ruining youth infrastructure?

If you don't have a steady supply of young talent coming through and challenging the first team then you're completely dependent on either paying for players, or picking up the dregs on freebies.

I think Steve Cotterill is a good manager for the task that Forest are looking for..

They won't get promoted under him, but he's good at using the loan market and he'll play the youth at Forest whilst shipping out the old reaguard and the high earners..

Forest are just going to copy us, and get their house in order.. And Steve is the man to do it, he's patient, won't jump ship (no-one will want him) and he'll keep them up year on year (in around 16th-19th place).. He was clearly singled out by Frank Clark for this type of job..

It would have been pointless Forest appointing someone like Lee Clark, Billy Davies or the guy at MK Dons because they're ambitious managers who will want to immediately want to take them up.. They'll want money and they'll throw a paddy if things take a turn for the worse..

Steve C won't complain, he'll be a yes man, and he'll be their project man..

It just means they'll be sh*te like we were for the next 2 or 3 years..

"Like we were", does that mean you're actually saying we're not ***** now. That's high praise coming from Bris. Might as well be saying "Clough in, board in, tits in, Clough is God, and we're bang on for 6th spot this season, promotion through the play offs, and champions league qualification next", or that's what I read into that sentence anyway.

Have I ever said we're sh*te this season? I don't think I have.. I wouldn't say we're sh*te now. Dull, uninspiring, unattractive, boring and average I'm sure I've used many times.. I might have even said our football is sh*te which IMO at times it has been this season.. But I don't think I've ever said that we are sh*te..

We were last year though! And the year before wasn't much better.

Just noticed Leicester vs Forest is on TV..

So far we've had

Forest vs Derby

Leicester vs Derby

Leicester vs Forest (cup)

Derby vs Leicester

Leicester vs Forest

Why the hell are they having Leicester on TV more than the actual 'rivals' Derby and Forest

I'm pretty sure Leicester had both of their games against Coventry on the box aswell.
