Well maybe not - although we don’t know that for sure: we have Rams Tv but granted likely fewer see the game.

ben_dcfc
Wildsmith 7 Few good saves. Knight 6.5 Some good moments, but maybe didn't get forward as much as last week. Bad miss. Davies 6.5 Solid enough. Cashin 6 Really good first half, but struggled second half. Roberts 6 Some nice passes - struggled defensively second half. Smith 6 He's alright, but feel with how dominant we were first half, we needed a goal threat in that position. Bird 7 Really good first half and brilliant ball for the Knight miss. Sloppy with the ball late on, maybe trying to force it. Hourihane 6 Crossing hasn't been very good and we are very easy to run through in midfield. Midfield balance is a bit of a worry. Mendez-Laing 6.5 A real threat again but without the end product. Barkhuizen 6 Struggled to get involved in both games, looks good when he does but Dobbin will be pushing him for his place. Collins 7.5 If he'd taken his chances, it'd have been a complete performance. Better than I was expecting, just needs a goal! Subs: Sibley 7.5 Back to back good performances. Making the correct decisions and running well with the ball. Every time he played last season, it was with a desperation to do something amazing, otherwise he's be off at half time/not seen again for a month. Appears to have lost that fear, and playing his natural game. Dobbin 6 Wanted the ball and looked positive. Forsyth 6 Looked bright. Can see some games suiting him and other suiting Roberts. Crewton
Wildsmith. 6.5 Good saves, but some ? over the goal Knight. 6.5 Steady, but oh Jason, that header.... Davies. 6.5 Solid, but exposed occasionally on the break and a couple of stray passes Cashin. 7 Mostly sound, but struggled more with pacy forwards as the game got stretched Roberts. 6.5 All +ve first-half, but 2nd half showed has a bit to learn about this position. Smith. 7 Don't get the -ves. Seemed to win allot of possession when on the pitch. My eyes? Bird. 8 Classy throughout, never stopped probing, Superb ball in for Knight's chance. Hourihane. 7 Very influential 1st half, less prominent 2nd as Charlton got a grip. Mendez-Laing. 8 Constant threat, still more to come from him. V unlucky with backheel shot in 1st half Barkheuizen. 6 V involved 1st half, less so 2nd Collins. 7 Can't fault his effort, unlucky with shot against the post from tightish angle, but should have buried 1st chance. Subs: Sibley. 7.5 Good influence off the bench again. Worried Charlton, hence fouled constantly in rotation. Didn't react though. Guaranteed starter against Mansfield? Dobbin. 6 Some promising moments, but dragged one chance wide when well placed. Forsyth. 6 Steady at the back and got forward well during brief time on the pitch. Ellafella
Thanks to those of you who provided ratings this week. ? Your average Player ratings for the Charlton Athletic game are illustrated below. A Summary Mendez-Laing was voted the {statistical} MOTM with an average rating of 7.1 15 raters submitted ratings this week compared with 26 V OUFC. The average rating for the team was 6.34 compared with 6.75 V OUFC. The Team Average Aggregate rating for CAFC was higher than for OUFC (82.88 compared with 80.98) despite the potentially confounding effect of the result (0-1 loss compared with 1-0 win). The red dashed line shows the average for the team so players above the average rating {Collns, Bird, Wildsmith, Sibley and Mendez-Laing} are the early season top performers. Smith & Barkheuizen are starting to be "outliers" after 2 games - both received lower average ratings from the OUFC game too. I will start to build more and more statistics into the infographics as the season builds including statistics based on the raters. Any suggestions or questions - please don't hesitate.
