Today, I was told of yet another version called 'Hurdle' so thought I'd give it a spin... Hurdle game Basically, the first word follows the usual Wordle format, and you have 6 guesses. The solution automatically becomes your first guess, i.e. start point, to the second word, and the solution to that becomes the first guess to the third word etc, and you progress in the usual way until you have four solutions - or you fail. Those four solutions become the first four guesses to the final word, and you are permitted just two guesses. It calls for perhaps a slightly different logical approach after the first word - I really struggled and was lucky to squeak home. Go on - you know you want to. Don't blame me if you become addicted - blame some other idiot on the Mensa Facebook page.
