Still no goal from open play for 9 games. 810 mins. No win in 7. 18th In the league. Being outplayed by bottom of the league and we’re currently bottom of the form table. Why do we still think Cocu can change this side for the better? Many said that this was a throwaway season and no progress would be made until next, if that’s the case we will be playing in league 1. If this was Clough, Rowett, Pearson, Clement, Mac etc. They would of been sacked?

No one actually knows that's the issue as nobody on here has a crystal ball to forsee the future.

The onus is being placed on the January transfer window to see if Cocu can get more out of new recruits than he is doing with his current players, the quality of incoming players isn't also guaranteed though.

There's a difference between giving Cocu a free hit this season and a free hit which then sees us playing in League 1 next season, if that were becoming a realistic proposition then am sure Cocu would not be allowed to do this, 4 year contract or not.

Which selection of 9 games is that?

Last goal from open play was scored by Lawrence against Boro - 9 games ago.

Forest 1-0 Derby

Derby 1-0 PNE - Goal from Corner

Fulham 3-0 Derby

Derby 1-1 QPR - Goal from FK

B’burn 1-0 Derby

Derby 1-1 Sheff W - Goal from PK

Derby 0-1 Millwall

Reading 3-0 Derby

Wigan 1-1 Derby - Goal from Long Throw

my point being we have duck all creativity and goal threat - we don’t score goals and can’t create chances. Cocu said we were too open v Boro and Forest but we played 100x better than we are now, but look at the results since then. Cocu moans about our lack of goals but he sets us up defensive!

Are you serious! Have you been watching the game today? So based on what you have seen the next two games are winnable? So Charlton who have just won, and Barnsley who drew with WBA. I admire you optimism I really do, but based on the way we are playing it is more two "non-winnable" games...
