I'd love to apply but working 9-5 mon to friday in chesterfield is a ballache when itll take over an hour to get to Derby on an evening

There are no set hours for the job and most grass root games take place on a Saturday or Sunday.

I’m sure most people think they could do this, however this is looking at an age group that aren’t yet fully developed, so you are looking at potential as much as current skill levels. It’s worth going to the racecourse on a Sunday (when they on) to see the sheer number of games that are played throughout the day, and the standard that they play at.

Not sure how our academy is set up, but at Leicester when spotted you still have to goto a 6 week course before you are accepted into their academy, so the numbers they take in are increased with this step that whittles it down.

However, whilst at the racecourse, then note the number of scouts there are from clubs, I wouldnt envisage it being an easy job at all.
