Anon
8 overs, 8 maidens for Hudson-Prentice now. This is ridiculous.

That’s some bowling. picking up him and Du Plooy is looking like some pretty good business right now. Only Derby’s could possibly screw up from here (*reverse psychology). jimbo jones
Close of play was probably good for us. It does seem if you can get in, then there’s runs to be had.

jimbo jones
Rampaul finially makes the break through bowling out Cox, Ferguson is still there on 113 though.
jimbo jones
Victory ? was getting worried when the Ferguson & Cox partnership seemed to be going on forever, But Hudson-Prentice got the big wicket of Ferguson, 2 a piece for Rampaul & Palladino and the game is won with 80 odd runs to spare. Nothing to worry about. the win definitely puts us in the promotion race and the 2 mid season signings of Du Plooy and Hudson-Prentice have definitely improved us, which is good. He of little faith, don’t know what you were panicking about ? Seems we might just be more resilient this year, oh heck I’m going all Gary Rowett now. Van der MoodHoover
Not really about Derbyshire cricket so apologies but I didn't think it worth starting a thread for. I've just read our local cricket report to discover that Hampshire are playing the magnificently named Felix Morgan today. "Felix Organ, I'm off" ? jimbo jones
Away from Lords....Derbyshire playing northants at Queens Park, Chesterfield. 1 change to the team Hamilullah Qadri replaces Anuj Dal. Good to see the young spinner get a game.
jimbo jones
Northants elected to bat first and are 66-3 at lunch. Good start from the Derbyshire bowlers ?

Are we rubbish? Hah we currently sit 3rd in the table, with 3 teams promoted this season. We play good cricket at times, but not consistently. jimbo jones
Hudson-Prentice left stranded on 55. Time for me to start moaning about him batting at 8. Already looks more capable with the bat than Hosein & Critchley, But they don’t seem to want to move them from 6 and 7, but that’s always looked a position to high for me. jimbo jones
Hudson-Prentice now staring with the ball, with a couple of wickets and a run out. Northants 70-5 and the 300 plus first innings score looking massive now.
