Gary rowett “the truth may not always come out”

Rowett’s signings here suggests he only ever thought about the short-term. He probably knew he wouldn’t be given time, especially with that type of football.

Had he stayed, and regressed after overachieving last season, he would have been hounded out by the fans. Crap football and not winning = the sack.

Lampard, however, has probably been given assurances of at least a few years barring a disaster, and signings like Marriott, Holmes and Evans reflect that as they haven’t been brought in as automatic first-teamers.

It’s worked out for both of us. Rowett has a better job, and Derby have a better long-term manager (at least in terms of playing style).

Do you think he's being honest? Or that if he says more then he'll be honest?

Or is he a serial bull-plopper?

Or perhaps the truth can't come out - cos he's locked it in the building.....?

He's not doing well enough at Snake City with all the resources he has at his disposal to big himself up. So anything else he says will just be sounding (more) mealy-mouthed!

He hasn’t started well I’ll give you that but Stoke should have won Saturday and Wednesday we’re lucky.

Have Derby played well yet though and have we played anyone other than Leeds.

Yeah we've played a few teams now, Reading, Millwall, Ipswich, Preston and Hull. Also had a couple of cup games against Oldham and Hull.

Yes all poor teams in this League.

Nothing we can do about that, the Football League will fax through a fixture list to all clubs prior to the start of the season and you must play the games in the order that they are listed on paper. We're not able to pick up the phone to Steve Gibson and say do your lads fancy a game this weekend?

Come May though, we will have played them all twice, once at home and once at their place.

Point is we haven’t been impressive against any of them in the League.
