Gary rowett “the truth may not always come out”

Echoing what a few have said, Rowett knows that a managers job is short term and he is focused on his career as a manager being the best it can be and is willing to sacrifice players potential careers to do so. That is why he had no interest in youth and was all about older more experienced players that could get him the results he needed, any complaints about style he could backup with results.

Lampard to me seems to be more more invested in player development and giving something back to the game and helping others come through.

You could probably say that this comes down to careers, GR's was a few years back and not as successful, more workman like so he hasn't got a huge reputation to fall back on, add in that he doesn't seem to have the best rep among owners (judging from what Simon Jordan says) then results are the be all and end all to his livelihood. FL on the other hand has only just retired so is more current, he had a far more successful career so he will find work of some form elsewhere with very little trouble. Granted he will want to make a success of things but he can afford to think more long term for the sake of player development.
