Not the biggest veg fan as growing up they were so overcooked.

Having said that, cabbage when it's cooked right and seasoned with some salt is really nice. School dinners put me off cabbage for a long time, until I moved out and cooked some for my flat mate. Amazing when you cook veg properly how nice it can taste.

A difficult choice.

For me the pea adds colour and sweetness to a variety of dishes, but the onion is a standard part of many recipes.

Both can be part of the s plan diet.....

I thought s plan was going to stand for something else.

Asparagus. With lots of lovely butter melting on it.

Just had some with some salmon, smothered in Hollandaise sauce. Divine.

I’d have a shallot at RB and Broccoli at LM to partner cauliflower.

In my experience, parsnip always goes sidewards and backwards....on the plate.

A bit of parmesan cheese in the butter is rather nice too.

Oh yes ! ????.. top one that and the cheese goes all gooey in the butter, just a little al dente in the asparagus and bobs your uncle  .. delicious and so simple
