The Hull players are good additions for pretty modest fees, Wisdom is a good signing and hopefully the more attacking signings are similarly solid. Yes, it is important to only have one player capable of playing in any one position; flexibility, competition for places and cover are all overrated elements of having a balanced and competitive football team. We don't need to trim in midfield, we need more holding midfield cover. We can trim our squad in positions where we genuinely have too many players, like left back or centre half.
