Everything to do with the football side of things is ran through Wenger. And considering he had a say in hiring Gazidis, the only man who can decide if he's sacked or not, he's in effect his own boss. Oh well, at least we have another two years of Claude on Arsenal fan TV having a mental breakdown, live on the internet...

Day
Bizarre going ons yesterday, why wait until deadline day to drop in a £90m+ offer for Lemar without thinking to check to see if the player was interested in the move? They knew the interest was there in Sanchez, that £60m offer will be a lot less in January when Wenger must surely let him go. Not going to fully sympathise with Arsenal fans but I can understand their frustration. Got balls though Wenger I'll give him that, won't crack under fan pressure to spend money. £90m would be better spent at the back where they really do have problems
Kennington Ram
Also offering Ox-Chamberlain £180k to stay considering what he's generally contributed to them. He looked like he didn't give a toss at Liverpool.
Day
Did he? That's insane, the minute you do that every first team player at Arsenal would be on the phone to their agent.
Bris Vegas
Arsenal are a mess at the moment. The way they ran the club through the stadium build and in the face of Chelsea and Man Utd's lavish spending was nothing short of spectacular. It was so admirable, and Wenger was the man to get everybody on board and maintain the club as a leading European force. However, they've just been stale now for years. The FA Cup successes and top four finishes have kept some fans on his side, but they've slowly allowed themselves to fall away. The Ozil, Sanchez and Ox contract situations are truely bizarre. And Wenger's stance and stubbornness is killing them. He should have gone years ago. If you were an Arsenal fan what would there be to look forward to? With Wenger there is no progression, hope or geniune belief. You can see how Klopp and Pochettino have reinvigorated Spurs and Liverpool - two clubs who have been behind Arsenal for years - to the point where they have now overtaken them. Arsenal need a major boost to get them back up there. Yet their best players are leaving, players don't want to join them and there is a reluctance to spend money in a market where everyone is going nuts. And Wenger is like a tactical dinosaur these days. Why is he still there?

No longer a one-trick ranting pony, he's making high-quality podcasts with a really good mixture of guests, as well as hosting football live streams on Saturdays, and more recently a live stream on the McGregor vs Mayweather fight. I just stopped liking him when Newcastle were winning lots in the championship and he was happy. But fair play of he's moving on and creating stuff.
