If it were for a sum in the region of around £3-4 million, would anyone on here take Norwich City's Yanic Wildschut?

Have heard a whisper that we are monitoring the situation and would be keen, for the right price. Makes sense as he is the kind of winger you'd expect Rowett to like (more focused on running, creating and working hard than scoring goals).

No need to hit the Yanic button just yet. To be fair, I haven't seen enough of him to say whether he is worth the outlay.

If Norwich are as keep to off load him as sounds coming from the club suggest then loan with an option to buy could be a good option. I'd prefer Ibe on loan if we were going for a quick, direct, impact wide player though

So Norwich could sell Howson Dorrans and Wildschut?

By the way Dorrans could be off to Rangers.

They're in a very similar position to us at the moment. Bloated squad with big wages. They want a refresh!

Surprises me that people are so keen that we spend loads on some mythical "20-30 goal a season striker". Brighton got promoted last year with 33-year-old loanee Glenn Murray up front, he scored 22 goals for them, because they had the best creative player in the division in Knockaert.

Statistically that statement isn't correct. Ince has a better Goal + Assist ratio to minutes played compared to Knockaert...

Totally agree it goes against what Rowett wants.

I just get slightly excited at the thoughts of him doing a 'Ron willems' sitting in behind Nugent and Martin.

Do you do a little Wes in your pants?

Yes and "Goal + Assist ratio to minutes played" is the only way to determine the Championship's "most creative player".

Knockaert had 2.1 Key Passes a game, Ince only had 1.6

Knockaert had 2.6 dribbles a game, Ince had 1.1

Knockaert only controlled the ball poorly 1.8 times a game, Ince 2.3

Knockaert was voted Championship Player of the Year; Ince couldn't even win DCFC Player of the Year.

And Knockaert played in the better side. I.e. making it more easy to play a key pass, since they had the ball more often, and had more incisive attackers to play it forward to. Having more of the ball allowing for more dribbles. Also, being put under pressure less often, as they had more control of the game, and therefore less poor control.

Let's not pretend that your cherry picked stats make it out to paint a better image that the ones provided before, yours are just as inaccurate of a representation in skill of player, as opposed to skill of team.
