It's not like the old days, in that they take professionalism pretty seriously these days. Hahahahahahahaha

There may have been a few innocent bystanders caught up in this, but I doubt it very much. When that died down everyone rushed up to the road, pushing the ones who were waiting patiently forward towards the police who were trying to hold everyone before escorting them over Lady Bay bridge. if it was the first bit then I've not much sympathy TBH. Must admit i was there and saw a lot of pissed off fans. I think a fair few were looking for trouble. The fact that i was an innocent fan who didn't get hit by plod or anyone probably gives a good indication that if you stood back and didn't confront anyone you were ok. davenportram
whack a bloke with a baton and tell him to keep walking? That makes sense. Batons are supposed to be last resort because they can cause permanent damage.

therams69
Fab video thank you! Just what was needed. Know Tom and complaint added to mine. As you can see unwarranted reaction from the Notts police. I myself have severe bruising after being hit 3 times... why... because my mate had been pushed onto the floor due to pushing from behind. Lost his trainer so I got hit 3 times as kept moving forward. Funny that as you cannot move back when you got 100 odd people behind you all getting pushed. Unsavoury scenes and the police have alot to answer for with their over zealous policing outside. If you do wish to complain please please email amanda.jacks@fsf.org.uk - she is already aware of the many problems of this night involving stewards and police afterwards. Video has already been sent to her. 2 minutes ago, B4ev6is said: Someone send this to mel as he can take on nottingham police that can class as assult I would take them to court. curb
That was at the top end of the car park near to me, where the fans got bunched up before leading them out of the car park, so I'll take my earlier comments back. what it doesn't show is the bit leading up to the policeman wielding the baton, so I'm assuming he could say he felt threatened, although I don't know much about law, so it's probably best if I keep out of this one :)
