Day
Are you not being slightly harsh given he's played just 2 games and coming back from injury? Chance a give?
Chris Mills
So, out of four posisitions you think we need two of them replacing...... and i would argue that Albentosa isn't good enough either, so that is 3 of them that need to go....and many on here would say that Christie isn't good enough either...... so...any wonder why we are struggling..? eddie
….and Albentosa makes 11.Congratulations, Muespach. We now have a full compliment of scapegoats.
YorkshireRam
I would like to see Albentosa on the right and Buxton on the left. Far more balance to that.
TroyDyer
Always said that but not sure we can risk putting Buxton back into the team so soon after injury.

Stive Pesley
They’re right though. The reason we didn’t go up last season was down to too many defensive errors (and not just Keogh’s at Wembley) – we simply haven’t improved things, and I think that has been Mac’s biggest mistake. Even under Clough we could out-football most teams if they let us, we were just sloppy at the back. Mac inherited that and has really turned up the throttle in so many areas, it just baffles me how we haven’t solidified the back four. People can point to the run of clean sheets we had, but I remember discussing this with Troy – it wasn’t that we suddenly got good at defending, we just happened to get away with our errors. The errors were still there. I think it’s got worse because teams have realised the way to beat us is to press us high up the pitch, and we panic. TroyDyer
Mac seems reluctant to drop Keogh though.I would only want to see Buxton re-introduced if it was to play alongside Albentosa.
Stive Pesley
His single biggest mistake IMO.
Derbyram1
If Mac insists on playing Keogh then why not give him a try at right back, can't be any worse than our current RB's and has the bonus of freeing up a space at CB for Bucko!!Simples....... Briggsy
Very unfair to judge players on their old clubs. See a certain players past clubs below:Blackpool, Macclesfield, Stockport, Rochdale, Bristol Rovers, Southampton before a move to Liverpool. TroyDyer
It's a big call to drop your captain - my guess is that they've been waiting for him to get sent off or injured, so they can try life without him. However, the fact that Keogh has been neither sent off nor injured tells its own story.. The Scarlet Pimpernel
That's because Keogh is good. Mac doesn't want to leave him out. I agree.

The Scarlet Pimpernel
I save the superlatives for those few who deserve them. Nobody currently playing in the championship does.

CumbrianRam
I think defending in general has declined, even top half PL teams have issues at the back.
