Thorne is smart enough not pump balls up to him and is techinally gifted enough to take the ball to feet facing our own goal. LesterRam Posted March 16, 2015 Share Posted March 16, 2015 problem is that the way we played Saturday, we bypassed the midfield and hoofed the ball forward, being 3' 10" tall he isn't much of a target man, I would rather see a recognised player from the youth set up and put Russell back on the wing or alongside a target man, I think if we can get thorne on for twenty minutes it would be a boost. Mostyn6 Posted March 16, 2015 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Unfortunately you are confusing striker and centre forward as one and the same they are not............JR is a striker he is not a CF-he is a player that likes to cut in from the wing, running at pace - he is not a CF - a strong player that can hold off big defenders, a player that can hold the ball up and bring players like JR into play.From your comment there is obviously a village somewhere that has lost one.....
