Unless something has happened since, Sheff U wanted him on a seasons loan and NG has said they wanted this option rather than buy because he didn't think he was a Championship player and that is where they hope to be next season

Somewhere around that with a small sell on clause just in case he turns into Cafu later in his career  ;)

As opposed to his current value, which is slightly less than if he was turned into Cat Food

Sky Sports understands Derby have rejected a bid from Sheffield United for Kieron Freeman.

United boss Nigel Clough is keen to bring the defender back to Bramall Lane after a successful spell on loan last season.

Freeman spent the last two months of last season on loan at United, impressing in his 12 appearances for the Blades.

Clough is a big admirer of the 22-year-old, having signed the full-back during his time in charge of Derby, and he has made him his top target.

Derby, who have already brought in Cyrus Christie from Coventry, have turned down United's offer for Freeman and the news has alerted a number of other clubs.

The likes of Leeds, Blackpool, Peterborough and Doncaster are all thought to be monitoring Freeman's situation at the iPro Stadium.

Wait .... A club is now trying to sign a player we loaned to them after he impressed during 12 appearances. This sounds very familiar

Has anyone made an account on the Sheff United forums yet?

Yes, it's now got 340 pages. They obviously want him more than we want Thorne

I am and i'm gonna tell em rush wont be bullied and will let him rot in the reserves rather than sell him for anything less than an over inflated price of around 8 mill
