B4ev6is
We could find some gems on freebies for tge first team I still think we need a striker a eye for goal but also takes good free kicks.
RamNut
If i was a betting man i might think it would be keiran agard next if anyone..... Maybe in 12 months.
RamNut
Since three of the new signings are with the same agency this would suggest that the agents brought them to our attention, rather than all three having been independently scouted by us. http://fullcontactlaw.co.uk/2014/07/fc-client-alefe-santos-signs-derby-county/ http://fullcontactlaw.co.uk/2014/01/fc-client-kelle-roos-transfers-derby-county/

RamNut
Strange though after all this trumpetting about the scouting system and missions abroad that these three signings were probably touted to us.

RamNut
Hence why the club parted ways with Derek Bragg... Not necessarily. I think its more a case of Chris Evans role and Derek Braggs role where effectively the same.
B4ev6is
But I think steve is trying to lift us to the next level but also trying to what fegieson did for united set up a good youth level and same for u21s which might leaves us years of successful years. Can I just make a point though? Steve hasn't signed anybody. He doesn't control transfers. Sam, John and Chris do. McClaren has been amazing for us in the coaching role, but giving him credit for all of these transfers isn't exactly right... Maybe some players like Dawkins who he worked with before, and perhaps Bamford's loan last year. He suggests a few players, but it's mostly the scouting team along with Rush and Vicars who set out targets, agree the deals and sign the players. Saying that, if Macca says he wants a CF for e,g and points out his criteria is pace/ finishing/ play off the last striker/ height he then hands it to CE. Are we saying that SM has no input at all until a player is churned out and handed a trng bib? He simply says what (not whom he wants). If the signing fails should blame lie at door of CE? Dimmu
It's a team game, on and off the pitch. But I would be very suprised if Macca doesn't have the final word should deal be done or not.

Tombo
I am pretty certain SM has a say in who Derby sign. Of course he gets some say in it, and think all signings are after discussions with the coaching staff, the owners and the executives, but I'm just saying that nobody seems to be given any credit except Steve, which I find weird. RamNut
I'm starting to suspect that most if not all of the development squad signings were brought to us by the Full Contact agency. Roos, McDonald and Santos definitely were. Its a bit suspicious that Dan Chapman of Full Contact also tweets about Calero signing for Derby and that he is buzzing after a hard but busy day. https://mobile.twitter.com/DanFullContact/tweets Perhaps we should just appoint Full Contact as our recruitment team and cut out the middle men? jagerbob
I think this new transfer ploy must have been discussed and agreed when the Maccas and Sam rushes met the American ownership group in Chicago. It makes sense if we are to be a premiership club anytime soon
