He's also got the know-how and experience at this level and supposedly he's a good character to have in the dressing room. I'm happy for him to stay another year as cover. Any combination of the others without a holding midfielder seemed to result in a loss on each occasion, which was one of Clough's biggest errors (trying to fit them all in the same team out of position). When we get promoted this season ( ), he won't be good enough for the prem, so he'll be free to go back to Coventry with our blessing, having done a pretty decent job here. Maybe not so much of a loss on the pitch, granted, but off it, I think we'd miss him. Plus, the twitter parody account is worth a few laughs. Plus he is a set piece specialist. If he was just a DM or just a CB I don't think I would be expecting him to break into the match day squad at all for another season.
