sage
I'm moving from South Normanton to Belper in August and it got me thinking... If you could live anywhere in Derbyshire where would you live and why? Pick your favourite village, town or part of Derby.

dan
Ashgate in Chesterfield, lovely leafy suburb. Large houses and fantastic schools (for those with children of school age). I live a mile away and cry inside as I drive through my more than pleasant area and into Ashgate :-)

Mr Tibbs
Buying a house in Swanwick so that's my entry.... There's some new houses being built in Wessington, I'd of liked to of been able to afford one of those! Lovely little village which was home to Sir Jake Buxton not too long ago. Everywhere has its good and bad parts.

Gritstone Ram
I've always lived in the Derbyshire Dales. It must be the best area in Derbyshire if you like the countryside. My best childhood memories are in Wirksworth.
Brammie Steve
Chatsworth House I once took a coachload of ex-servicemen to Chatsworth House. They were stunned by the beautiful scenery as we got closer. The whole area is breathtaking TBH!

sage
I've always fancied Milford. Youlgreave, Ashford in the Water (maybe a bit snooty for me) or Ashover, though the last two are 'eye wateringly' expensive.
