DcFc Dyycheee
Beat me to it. Reckon it's Alex Baptiste, got to be, surely.
jimbobram
wolves wanted Baptiste for a 1 mil in jan but nothing happened is he actually out of contract ? why would they turn down a mill for a player whose contract is running out
notts_ram
Beat me to it. Reckon it's Alex Baptiste, got to be, surely. As far as I can understand Wolves, Blackburn and Leicester have all been in for Baptiste and a host of other Championship teams are interested in him but he's going to come to Derby? North_Stand_Ram
Cardiff, Leeds and Bristol all had bids turned down for Keogh. Eventually, Keogh had to choose between us and Cardiff but Cardiff refused to get in a wage war with US. Depends how much Cloughie wants the player

notts_ram
Really? Didn't hear those rumours tbh, bet Cardiff are gutted that they didn't get Keogh in now that they are 5 points clear at the top of the Championship.
DcFc Dyycheee
My guesses are - Alex Baptiste. Chris Humphrey. Kevin Davies. (really hope it's not him.)

SuperSheep
If we did go up (IF meaning I know we won't) what players do you believe could cut it out at premiership level?
DcFc Dyycheee
If we did go up (IF meaning I know we won't) what players do you believe could cut it out at premiership level? I'd say most of them as they are still young (They'll improve next season) Fielding. Brayford. Keogh. (New CB) (New LB) (New RM) Hendrick (New CM / Hughes / Bryson) Ward (New ST) (New ST)

North_Stand_Ram
Right now the only player who could cut it in the prem is Brayford, maybe Fielding In a few years, we'll have plenty, but right now, not yet
notts_ram
If we did go up (IF meaning I know we won't) what players do you believe could cut it out at premiership level? Brayford. Keogh is not Premiership class, Hughes would quickly get found out by the more savvy Premiership midfielders. Behind a creaking defence Fielding would not be up to the task. Bryson perhaps. That would be really exciting and our CBs would easily be on a level with Barker/Shackell.

Do you think that with the right striker we could pull of a 4-5-1?

Do you think that with the right striker we could pull of a 4-5-1? I dont think its about the striker personally. As long as the front man can hold a ball up and win headers that is all that is required. The 2 holding of the 5 need to be very mobile, have excellent defensive attributes as well as being able to pass (savage no matter what people say was very good in this role, so was Bailey) the 3 AM's need to have quality dribbling ability (Bueno Commons etc). When we had the solid base of Green Savage Cywka Bueno Commons Any striker that knew a bit would do e.g Kuqi not actually that good and didnt score many but the 3 behind did. Our current squad would probably be.... Bryson Hughes Coutts Hendrick Ward Sammon Now I will agree in this situation the area that does need working on is the striker.
