Scott129
Hey guys, I'm at university and for my final year project, I'm writing a blog about music in football (traditional club songs, etc.) Anyway, as a Derby fan, I want to write a post about Steve Bloomer's Watching but I need the opinions of some fans (besides myself) to show I've used some journalistic skills. So, basically, if you could give me your opinion or any cool stories or memories about SBW, that would be awesome. It doesn't have to be a full blown paragraph, just anything you can give me. If you do reply, could you leave your full name, age and whereabouts you live as well so it doesn't seem like I've just made up loads of quotes. Thanks very much 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Edit - Could one of the mods please move this to Rams Talk? For the life of me, I don't know why I put it here.
Animal is a Ram
It used to be something fans really joined in with when I used to have a season ticket.. now its played and no one ever sings.. a little bit depressing.. but it follows in the footsteps with the rest of the Pride Park atmosphere. Have people become so apathetic they don't sing anymore?

Gritstone Ram
You would have been better asking this after we had won a match. You may get different answers. Personally i don't like it but i think the club came up with it to try to give the club a song that belonged to Derby County. I think they nicked the music from an aussie too. gcdcfc28
"Everybody is frightened of the Derrrrby Pride....DERBY" Hearing that verse when we got hammered each week in 07 was an embarrassment.
DCFCfranco
When I was younger it was alright but I've heard it so many times now its getting on my nerves. No one really joins in, you just get half the ground clapping and shouting derby at the end. Nothing to do with the club - it was written by a fan, Tank Tewson.

Summed up the season for me when we were home losing 6-0 to Aston villa and we cheered every time they scored, and did Mexican waves.

Scott129
Thanks for answering everyone. Only 1 person put their name, age and location though (thanks Franco!) so can I be cheeky and get some of your information? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> It's kind of essential to the blog! Thanks again! derbydan
I like the song & always join in! It's our song & no-one else sings it unlike some chart or old songs adopted by other clubs its something nice & unique to us even if the tune was ripped off an old aussie song! JE90
I'm sure the song used to be played to coincide with the kick off which was better - as there would be a big load of noise as the game started - but now it's played 10 mins before kick off so less people are interested in joining in and a load of folks are still finishing off their pints downstairs. Asanovic
Needs everyone to sing or just don't do it. Would be good for it to start then take the music off the PA so you could just hear the supporters. Crap music but it sounds ok without it, just the fans voices.
