The only thing I would question looking at the video is a couple of times his saves have ended up still in the danger area, with the Championship/Prem being better with better strikers I feel this will lead to goals, his handling would have to improve or push it out for a corner.

Search into YouTube Matthew Ryan, there are some music artists in their but pick the 2010-11 highlights video he is awesome!!

High distribution is class and for a smaller and obviously younger than usual keeper he dominates aerially. Reminds me of Michel vorm

No need to worry about good distribution, I'm quite certain it can be ruined in no time and make him look like proper Derby keeper.

Again, being in Australia I've kept an eye on the A-league in recent years, and this kid is a damn good young keeper. He did have some shaky moments in his first few months of professional football (he was around 18 at the time) but has developed into a damn fine player. He's also looked good in the big matches as well. Whilst the average match in the A-league only gets around 10 thousand odd, the Grand Final (how Australia likes to decide their Champions) is a great occasion (I've been to the last two), which generally get around 50 thousand. Ryan was man of the match for the 2011 Grand Final, great performance for a what... 19 year old at the time. It was a fantastic match as well, rained a bit though.

Again, I don't see it being true as I don't see why we'd go for him, but he's certainly got a big future.

To put in context where he is in terms of Australia's keepers by the way:

Mark Schwarzer, 103 caps - Most caps Australian player, the coming World Cup will almost certainly be his last though, meaning someone will be coming in to replace him

Adam Federici, 7 caps - The Reading keeper is the most likely candidate at the moment

Brad Jones, 3 caps - Was considered a real option for Schwarzer's replacement back around the 2010 World Cup, but has had a tough time off the pitch in both the lead up to the World Cup and the years following, I can certainly forgive his performances for Derby given the context

Mitch Langerak, not capped - Was considered a real shout a few years ago, and is no playing for Borussia Dortmund as their second choice keeper

Eugene Galekovic, 6 caps - Probably the best of the lot, but age is not on his side, if he were to take over from Schwarzer he'd already be at least 33 by that point. Being an A-league based player also doesn't help his chances

Australia actually has a lot of competition for keepers, but Schwarzer has held that spot for a long time now. Ryan is certainly the most talented of the keepers in waiting though.

So you can be 10 points clear in the A league, and still not be champions.?

Wtf?

Sure can. They basically name two "Champions". The Premiers, so the league winners, and the "Champions", the Grand Final winners. Nobody really remembers the Premiers though. The way it works is actually quite odd. The top 6 of 10 teams go into a finals series which whilst heavily weighted could still see 6th place walk away as Champions. That said, one season the Premiers won on goals scored, so there you go.

Still, I must say the Grand Finals are quite an experience, this was the one from 2011:
