This Chelsea/Clattenburg Malarky

He's apparently called Juan Mata a Spanish **** as well, which I find more believable than the other 'cheeky monkey' allegations. I don't want to believe it but I wouldn't put it past him, on either account.

If it's all a fabrication though, Chelsea should be ashamed and penalised in some way.

Who or what is a 'referee like him'?

He is deemed as the worst referee in the PL, Surely you dont need a referee who loves flashing cards to be incharge of a match like that? Its also a terrible time to experiment in carding players for diving.

Diving is pretty touchy cos its about perception. I have seen players dive and get rewarded while a genuine takle on a forward goes unnoticed, there isnt consistency. Its bcos of this players exploit it.

Coming to the point yes, Torres seemed to dive but if there is contact which there was you cant question the player going down, it then becomes a question of morality on part of the player.

Y shouldnt they have the FA look at matches and fine/ban players with post match reviews? That will surely bring down this nonsense or use Technology in game to stamp it out.

Personally i think its Chelsea's spiteful way of getting back at Clattenburg for the decisions he made on the pitch, according to Skysports "Clattenburg's assistants on the day, Michael McDonough, Simon Long and Michael Jones, have denied hearing anything of that nature over the officials' microphone link-up."

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/revealed-details-of-mark-clattenburg-vs-1407304

Mark Clattenburg is understood to have told the FA that John Obi Mikel hurled expletive-laden threats in the referees’ room after Chelsea’s loss to Manchester United.

Under-fire Clattenburg has chronicled in detail the startling flashpoint that unfolded off the pitch as a climax to the mayhem on it.

The Premier League, who have already seen his version of events, refused to comment on it on Monday night.

Clattenburg has filed an “extraordinary incident report”.

In it, he is believed to have listed an explosive time-line of events that took place during a confrontation in his designated area that sources claim descended into scenes resembling “a pub brawl”.

Extraordinary incident reports are normally filed when referees believe an incident has taken place that falls outside their jurisdiction on a match-day and into that of the FA.

The Mirror understands the scenes in Clattenburg’s dressing room area took place almost two hours before Chelsea revealed they were reporting the Gosforth official to the Premier League for allegedly using a racial slur towards two Blues players – Mikel and Juan Mata – on the field of play.

Yet while Clattenburg found himself at the centre of the unprecedented accusations, the latest shocking claims could lead to problems for the European champions.

They would come in addition to the hot water in which they find themselves following the behaviour of supporters who aimed coins and a seat at celebrating United players on Sunday.

It was at around 6.05pm, minutes after the final whistle of United’s win, that Clattenburg and his assistants – Simon Long and Michael McDonough – were confronted in the officials’ dressing room by a Chelsea delegation.

The party consisted of chief executive Ron Gourlay, manager Roberto Di Matteo, his assistant Eddie Newton and Mikel.

They had gone into the referee’s room demanding a reponse from Clattenburg after making the claim that the official had insulted two of their players.

Clattenburg, who had sent off Chelsea players Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres and allowed a United winner scored by an offside player, refused.

Matters quickly became heated, with Mikel seen and heard screaming in the direction of Clattenburg.

Banging and shouting could be heard coming from the referee’s dressing room.

Seconds later, tunnel security staff rushed into the room to come between the two parties.

They were followed into what is an enclosed area by Chelsea captain John Terry, who watch the game from the stand while continuing his FA suspension for racially abusing QPR's Anton Ferdinand.

Terry raced from the other end of the tunnel area – around 15 yards – to join the melee.

The door was then closed, and the shouting and screaming continued for several further minutes.

One source told the Mirror: “It was like a fight had started in a pub and all the bouncers were rushing in to deal with it.”

Once the fracas was calmed down, Terry emerged, followed by Gourlay and Newton, Mikel and the security staff.

The door was again closed, leaving Di Matteo alone with the officials.

Several minutes after that, the Italian came out “drenched in sweat”, before regaining his composure to go and speak to the media.

Di Matteo later confirmed at his press conference that he had been to see the referee.

But he did not reveal the incendiary events that had also taken place in Clattenburg's room.

An hour after Di Matteo had concluded his media duties, Chelsea confirmed they were lodging a complaint with Premier League match delegate Nick Cusack, relating to “inappropriate language” used by Clattenburg towards two players.

Although the club refused to elaborate on the nature of what was said, they were understood to be claiming Clattenburg had used language that could be interpreted as racially offensive.

At least three Chelsea players are said to be ready to give statements to the FA’s disciplinary committee.

The FA, however, will speak to, and where appropriate take written statements from, ALL relevant parties connected with Sunday’s events - players, officials and stadium staff.

The Premier League received Clattenburg’s report on Monday morning.

It was in turn forwarded to the Football Association who announced within hours that they were launching an investigation.

Chelsea have instructed their players not to discuss the matter publicly as the process takes its course.

They could yet, however, find themselves in the dock as well.

Is it safe to wear black?

Or give dark looks?

Is it ok to call a monkey a monkey or will nearby African/Jamaican people sue you?

ffs.

Mikel should be getting a nice big ban? No, no. He can only be a victim.

Bandwagon. Typical nonsense in a joke of a nation hell bent on being accommodating.

Clattenburg does make many, many howlers. He's often the centre of attention. But funny how racism is the word of the day and an experienced referee happens to be racist toward a losing side that feel cheated.

Chelsea = vvank club.

Spot on mate, couldn't of summed it up better...

Just infuriating isn't it. Ofcourse there is racism in football. In the world. Everywhere.

But some of the **** I've heard this week from Les Ferdinand, Garth Crooks, Dion Dublin, Rio Ferdinand..... Jesus, you'd think they were slaves yesterday.

They talk about sticking together. About supporting eachother. You try announcing on twitter that White people should stick together. You'd get fcuked mate.

I know the situation with Danny Rose was bad. It should be dealt with.

But all this "black people sticking together"

"having one black candidate for every management job"

Now who's making race an issue? Now who's putting humans into categories?

I'm a White chairman. No, I won't interview you because you're black. I'll interview you because you have what I need.

You'll have to pass a test soon so you can carry a "Not Racist" card.

Seriously, this is Britain in 2012. Look around. Does it look like British society has a racism issue?

Tell you what Rio, you lot stick together mate. Instead of calling you "the black victims" group I'll be calling you the "ive got a massive chip on my shoulder because I listen to **** music and skin colour is always on my mind" group.

Racism Rio? Racism Dion? What is it when you talk about sticking together? We're all humans, why don't we eradicate the few... FEW... vile scum that are uneducated racists. I'll tell you why. Because you have a problem. Not me. You. Closer to being a racist than you think Rio.

To think what Alan Hansen had to apologise for. Then some of the rubbish that Ferdinand cnut spouts.

The Met are investigating now.....

[url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/]http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/

Just in case anyone hasn't read the link, The Met are investigating because a Mr Peter Herbert, the lawyer behind the potential breakaway union for black footballers and member of The Black Lawyers Association filed the complaint, not Chelsea Football Club, not The F.A. not Mikel, not Mata.

This self publicist should be arrested for wasting police time, for how come he is privvy to the facts ? Was he there ? Did he hear it all word for word ?

Asanovic will be worried to death.

Union of Black footballers?

Black Lawyers Association?

I'm thinking of starting White Support. It's a company that will represent the feelings and opinions if football fans. It's for White people only. Do you think it'll be ok?

Who's not accepting who? Shouldn't the Black Lawyers Association interview one White person?

Racism goes both ways. It's 2012 not 1930.

Unbelievable, you are correct if the boot was on the other foot (not intending to offend any boot wearing, one footed people) it'd never see the light of day

Just a little perception of your surroundings makes things clearer.

For example, in Derbyshire the population consists of 95% white people. In Derby itself, it's about 70%. Of that population I'd say at least 50% of Derbyshire is racist. Some are racist through choice and some have just inherited racist stereotypes from their friends and relatives but would probably be shocked to learn their comments are deemed offensive. Often enough I've heard racist comments and some of those people I've had decent friendships with. In the past I've been pulled up for saying 'half cast' instead of 'mixed race' because that's what I'd learned. I didn't mean to offend, but it did.

When at a place of work in an industrial setting, the majority of people are racist. Black people sit on there own, white people don't invite them over. Black people are intimidated by the white people from experience.

I can see why black people would rebel against white people, I think I probably would if I'd been subjected to abuse based on the colour of my skin for most of my life. I don't think it's the right thing to do, the way some of these people are going about it, it seems a bit like a battle to me instead of an intent to educate. But there we go, we shouldn't be surprised.

I have seen & experienced Racism so am talking from the other side, it depends really if you take it personally even if ppl say it just for fun. Affecting a person intentionally be it physical or mentally is what needs to be stamped out.

its about perception, i dont really understand why professional footballers who live the rich life need to get all touchy abt the whole racism issue with words like monkey? There are far more harsher things that happen in racism than just name calling that these fellas dont know about.Making this a big issue is what can split ppl even further.

This aint 20th century, THis is a new century grow up.

And all of your anger is based on that?

My anger is not about this at all. Its like Man Utd have always had this bias towards them and that just frustrates a lot of people. Its Particularly annoying if you have a Referee who likes to stamp his authority with just showing cards is allowed to referee this kind of a match.
