Like Liam Thompson but with fewer first team goals over the past 6 years, less versatile, and less mobile
A big no for me then.

I know the standard is lower but I've been keeping an eye on Annan Atheltic midfield player Frenchmam Benjamin Luissint, 24 strong, powerful and quick.
Would be a gamble, wouldn't cost much possibly nothing , just signed for another season.
I know nothing about him but a quick and powerful box to box midfielder is exactly what we need in my opinion.
-
What style of center midfielder is he? I know little about him to be honest. I feel we need a box to box midfielder with legs and pace.

Person who told me about Washington & Bradley being done has told me Waghorn is done now & it was Rhodes that Warne was on about when he said the liar comment, Rhodes deal was pretty much done 2 weeks ago before 'complications'
From Paul Warnes interview it sounds like a offer is on the table, up to Waggy and his agent to accept now. Unless that has already happened but he didn't want to let on tonight on Radio Derby.

did you expect it to have been on Rams TV?
Radio Derby. I was hoping for.

I though Paul Warne was holding talks yesterday with Waggy? It appears any discussions have been kept under wraps.

He’s signed then..
Has he?

I'd rather Waggy over Rhodes to be honest. I think he would have lower wage demands and would have a greater versatility. Plus we know Waggy would fit in well with the rest of the sqaud.

Billy Sharp obviously would not be my 1st choice in starting 11. But would definitely score goals at L1 level coming off the bench for the last 30 minutes, so for me I would take him all day over Waghorn.
I can't see Billy Sharp signing for us given the relationship he has with our fans.
He no doubt would score goals in league one, but his minutes would have to be managed carefully. Most likely an impact player like you say.

I thought Paul Warne was going to have a "chat" with Waggy today. I wonder what the outcome was?

I have a strong suspicion that Warne has a better idea of what it takes than you or I.
Well said. Someone people think they are the managing on Football manager without a transfer budget.
Waghorn would be a solid, versatile addition to the team and he would fit in well.

We should sign Chris Martin so we can sign the Chrissy Martin song?

Over the course of the season i agree, but hopefully Elder will be there most of the season, I do believe Fozzy will be fine there for odd games, but not to many , as he does lack the legs for the position, if he played there for a length of time, but 1 or 2 games on the run, he should be fine.
I agree. Hopefully Elder will be there most of the season, but as the role is so demanding he won't be able to play 90 minutes every game. Maybe a young loanee who can play left wing back would be ideal for sqaud depth.

Monday 🧐
Will they announce anything on the day?

Left wing back is the area of concern for me. Fozzy doesn't have the legs to do it for long periods of the game and Tommo doesn't have the physicality or disapline.
-
When do you think we will find out the outcome of Warne's and Waggys "chat" on Monday?

says nothing definitive on Waghorn they’ll have another conversation on Monday about where they are.
Talked about how he was frustrated last week because if you look around “no one new is here” but said maybe this week that can turn around.
Also discussed his desire to add more pace to the team - I’m assuming to the forward line.
Fingers crossed Waggy gets a deal.
I think we obviously need another left wing back and for me pace and bite in the middle of the park.
-
I am pretty sure there are more Derby fans in Burton than Burton fans. Come on you Rams!
-
I think today helped show why also need another left wing back. Maybe a loanee with legs and a point to prove?
-
Todays game helped show why he could be a good addition to our sqaud.
