All speculation aside Sunday has come and gone with no updates from Nixon.

And who, from that list, is getting the goals we need?
If we was to sign Mubamba surley we must hope he would play a role in getting a few goals?

Anyone heard anything on baptiste ? Was at Oxford few years ago and available on a free. Think he’d be class next to Ebou
Osborn Adams and Baptiste. That would be a quality midfield three.

He’s been round the ground, and was one of the three players Warne spoke to. He wants to be local and be close to family. It’s a strong possibility
I hope so! He would help take us to the next level.

Alan Nixon is saying we are after Ben Osborn and are competing with Watford.
I thought Nixon said we will have some good news today or something? I presume it would be in regards to a signing.

It has to be either Ebou Adams or Ben Osborn nixon is hinting at. I would perhaps love to have both and feel they would make two thirds of a solid midfield.

I would love us to sign him. I’ve said elsewhere that I think he’s really good.
Somethin in the way Warne discussed him in interviews late last season makes me think it’s a non-starter for the club unfortunately
What did Paul Warne say about TJJ?

In Paul Warne we trust...

I agree with the sentiments of offering him a years contract to prove his fitness. He seems like a good lad who has the raw talent to do well in the championship. If stays fit he would be a fantastic addition to the sqaud.

If it’s in this s**** thread and not on actual thread, then no.
That's true. Wishful thinking maybe there could be something in the rumour.

It’s on one of the Derby transfer forums (not sure which one my son told me lol) it says deal agreed thought to be between 650 and 800k and Adams moved his belongings out of Cardiff 🤷♂️🤞

I agree it would be a good start to rebuilding our midfield. Fingers crossed.

Thank you very much mate. I will give it a listen

Sadly I can't see any clips of the interview online.

I was told that Osborn, a keeper and another were at Moor Farm on Monday which ties in with what Warne said today about the 3 players he met this week. I’ve no reason to doubt who told me. It’s the first time he’s told me anything like this so time will tell.
So many contradictorys rumours around Osborn. He would be a great addition if he does join us.

Still hard to judge until we have a handful of signings. Staying up is a obvious must though.

I’ve heard the first three are almost done.
Ebou - fee
Bobby Clark - season long loanIverson - Leicester- free
I’ve heard we’ve spoken to a couple of defenders , two strikers , four CMs and two goalkeepers.
Sibley to re sign
Collins - still undecided May impact our decision to keep or loan out Brown
As for one’s up for sale or have interest in
Barks
fornah
bradley
I would be happy with that. Ebou Adams and Bobby Clark will certainly help to transform the midfield. Then Iverson on a free also feels like good business.

I wonder how much Sibley and Collins have been offered for them to still be weighing up their new contract offers.

Salarysport is the only site to give an indication of our wages for the first-team playing squad and has consistently stated Sibley's is £8,000 a week, Bird's £7,900, Cashin's £3,600 and Thompson's £3,000. It did show Knight as our second-highest earner at £10,000 and now £15,000 at Bristol, becoming their now-highest-earning player. Bird could expect a similar jump. Cashin's contract will likely push him close to if not exceeding double figures and I'd guess Mendez-Laing's wages were doubled on the signing of his new contract. Lewis Dobbin suggests he got a £31,000 a week increase when returning to Everton from his loan spell here.
The wages it stated for first-team was collectively £7,873,840 in 2023, and £8,823,360 for this year. It is often wrong, I noticed by as much as £12 million in the case of Blackburn Rovers two seasons ago. You take their site with a pinch of salt or the best indication of what the wage bill is likely to be, minus bonuses and certainly no indication of what agents suck out. We do know the £91,000 a week Rooney was on was right and we were chipping in £45,000 of that. And that Frank Lampard was costly in many ways, also having the star player activated by 32Red to boost his income.
The information available regarding football managers getting paid, the problem Graham Potter has finding another job because of his 5-year £11.1m Chelsea contract and being the fourth best paid there is, behind Diego Simeone's £30m, Pep Guardiola's £20m and Jurgen Klopp's once £16m is not wrong, and they will be bonuses to add. Paul Warne would have cost the club's accounts a fair chunk in compensation, possibly into millions that is not getting mentioned.
If Sibley was on 8k a week surely we haven't offered him a reduced salary with his new contract. 10/12k sounds a fair now we are in the championship? Maybe a clause that will reduce by x% IF we get relegated.

Would be ok though with Ben Osborn. He can make peace/amends after that goal in 2015
I think he would be a quality addition to the squad. In terms of his experience, skills and versatility.
Apparently he is looking for a move to a lower Premiership team or a team who he feels can fight for promotion though.
Ben Osborn - signed on a two-year deal

I hope he isn't part of our first 11 next season. I do however feel Tommo will be a good player to bring off the bench.
Osborn however would be however part of our starting 11. Ideally in midfield.
