  1. We all have to start somewhere, my first away game was a 4.0 defeat at Villa, but this season must be my highest count of away wins
  2. I have been to Copenhagen on numerous occasions as my wife is Danish, a beautiful and friendly city, very easy to get around with lots of interesting places to visit. Also easy to pop over the bridge to southern Sweden. Stockholm and Helsinki are also interesting cities to visit.
  3. Agreed, don't mind a 12.30 kick-off if it's a Saturday, more time to celebrate afterwards. Feel a bit sorry for Carlisle fans who I am sure will fill most of their end.
  4. They are posting the ticket 1st class, as I cannot get to Derby this week. Hopefully RM do their job!
  5. Me too, just got the call from the ticket office. Looking forward to it!
  6. That is good news, I hoping I may yet get a ticket.
  7. What a contrast in emotions compared to 11 days ago, two big wins later and for the first time this season we are truly in an automatic promotion slot. Cannot wait until Tuesday and hopefully the crowd will play their part in ending the Reading hoodoo, before the big match on Saturday. COYR.
  8. Only us and Lincoln winning in the top 9!
  9. You got off lightly. It was even harder work having to watch that rubbish!
  10. Soul destroying, it was OK for 40 mins, once we scored, we never looked capable of getting a second and allowed Charlton to find a way back into the game. Should have caught my train back at half time. Got to go through it all again on Saturday crammed into a train full of PV fans.
  11. Just getting on the train from Crewe. Have to leave on 80 mins tonight, so will probably miss the most exciting part of the match! Still it'll make a change not to be the last person left in my row. COYR.
  12. I was at a QA session with Gabbiadini at Pride Park a couple of years ago and his relationship with Kitson came up. safe to say that the rumours were true.
  13. Average price per game gone from just over £16 to about £20 for me. I only tend to miss the odd game due to work, so still pretty good value and I'll have no hesitation in renewing even if we are still in League 1 (god fordbid).
  14. Yes the second person factor makes driving far more attractive than the train. If I go on my own (unless a night game) I take the train from Crewe to Derby (£13.80 day return) which is cheaper than my fuel costs would be for the 120 mile round trip. We even got 4 carriages for the Shrews game, but I still had to stand until Stoke. Normally it's only two carriages and as has been said, a nightmare when Uttoxeter races are on. I'd much rather take the train for environmental reasons and I have had some enjoyable chats with fellow rams and away fans during the journey. However I end up using the car far more than I'd like if there are two of us or I have to get to Portsmouth or Ipswich on a Friday night!
  15. Yes, I remember Bobby Davison being subbed for Dave Watson in the replay, oh happy days!
  16. Bristol Rovers now winning 3.2 at Stevenage after being 2.0 down
  17. I was nine years old and I clearly remember seeing the result looking into a TV shop in Lichfield. My cousin supported Spurs so it was a good day. It would be another six months before I finally persuaded my dad to take me to my first game at the BBG, a 2.1 win v QPR on a beautiful May evening.
  18. Oxford 2 nil down at Bristol Rovers with two ex Derby players scoring.
  19. Leaving early to beat the traffic on the stairs?
  20. I heard on the local radio that Reading fans have donated several thousand pounds to the building of the John Rudge statue at Port Vale, which is a nice gesture. Maybe they'll be as kind to us if our game is called off.
  21. Best team won, very reminiscent of the Crewe game except Bradford should have scored 3 as well.
  22. Definitely worth repeating. Only 4 points behind with a game in hand if Cheltenham can hang on. We are coming for you..
