    NFL 2023 Season

We likely would have, but it's still nonsensical to throw a lot of money at a much worse player a year after you could have at least attempted to do something worthwhile.

    NFL 2023 Season

Because why would you not even try if you're going to do this deal with Cosuins anyway?
  3. They haven't bought Reading's academy... they can run whatever level of academy they want. They just have the facilities which are way better than what they have now for pennies on the pound no doubt.
  4. It's a relatively new facility, not far from Wycombe. They won't be owning another team's training ground, they'll be using it themselves.
  5. I watched Jimmy McSporran the other week. He was in a titanic tussle against 6ft 5 centre back Bucky Fass for Aviemore Avalanche.
  6. Too far ahead? Pompey play Posh this weekend, there’s a world where on Saturday night we are 2 points behind them with still needing to play them.
  7. Just seen Dai Yongge has agreed to sell Reading’s training ground to… none other than their ambulance chasing rivals, Wycombe Wanderers. Rob Couhig is absolute scum.
  8. Come back Oldben, all is forgiven.
  9. He overran it, again, because his legs have gone and just went down. Weak link in this team at the moment.
  10. Two points here: 1) The thread is only named this because of when we tried to sign George after his loan, the transfer thread was 100s of pages and it was an ongoing obsession for months. Nothing to do with the respective abilities of George and Ebou 2) We're a League One club with League One players.
  11. Cheating is cheating, but I do sympathise with not being able to spot this one (I had no clue either watching live), and the offside is up to his linesman. The sending off however...
  12. Does kinda feel weird that we've done a Bamford to win a game. We are never that team... and yet we still never prosper. Makes a change. I think I'd feel dirtier about it if it was an unjust win, but whichever way you slice it, we were the better team and deserved to win.
  13. Such an insight into Warne, really. Says a lot.
  14. Should have it every game.
  15. I didn’t sing it but Reading were one of the clubs who sang it to us. That’s the reasoning.
  16. The club sold the match going fans a bit of a kipper with this. There was nothing to state what was happening, so when we’d already had a time out shortly before for the old keeper injury shtick, fans understandably got annoyed and booed. Could’ve been avoided with some communication anywhere. Dont think any would have had an issue if we knew why!
  17. Exactly. Captain only, surely?
  18. Clearly we were on the positive end of some bad decisions tonight. Makes a change. Can’t remember the last time we were, in fairness. That said, I think we deserved to win the game. Not sure Reading ventured into our box other than to score the goal they did.
  19. I don't think we're vastly far apart on our assessment, but I do think I'm placing a bigger emphasis on our restrictions than you perhaps are which is likely where we are differing on levels of "blame". Clearly signing younger, athletic attacking talent costs the most money and that's where we've struggled. Even, seemingly, finding some on loan - whether that's due to loan fees, wage contributions or a minutes guarantee. My main gripe would be leaving the squad so threadbare in that department... as much of a good guy as Waghorn is, was he really all we could do? Collins plus old/injured players in Washington, Waghorn and TJJ never looked enough, and so it proved.
  20. About as many were not as were. I already called out Washington and Bradley as being old and having injury issues. Elder has been a little unlucky here (although, can't say I've rated him on what I've seen). Nelson has played most games.
  21. We needed a squad of players, and we were shopping in the bargain bin for the most part. Do I think he tried some things which didn't really work? yes, Washington, for one example wasn't a great idea. I'd also say Bradley likely hasn't been worth what we're probably paying him, But given our restrictions, and I'd also make a good guess that some of those signed the previous summer are eating up a fair chunk of budget (Hourihane, Smith, Collins, Barkhuizen etc) which also likely made it tougher, especially when we really needed to get younger. Some of it has been slightly unlucky with injuries to Ward, Elder etc too which cut short any run in the team.
  22. Mason-Clark signed for Coventry in January and is only loaned back to Peterborough - Max Bird-esque.
  23. Well no, they weren’t really. But crack on, sure everyone else is getting a kick out of not watching any of the videos you’re posting.
