Stupid instructions, which usually consist of 20% instruction, 80% Cautioning statements, some of which range from bizarre to idiotic.
I give you one example, from the instructions for my Halfords Digital Tyre Inflator.
"Do not use the inflator when the vehicle is moving."
How disappointing.

Sounds like my step-daughter, but without wasting time on the tidying, sorting and putting away.

Isn't Heanor, Ayner.
There's an odd place near Coalville (yes, they're all odd) called Sinope. I have absolutely no idea how it's pronounced. It looks as though it's a figure of speech, like hyperbole or synecdoche.

Have you noticed the interest rates some of these loan sharks charge? Tiny blurred print at the bottom of the screen. Some of them are 5,000% or even 7,000%. Eye-watering.

Eggs. Next door neighbour keeps a couple of hens and a couple of ducks on a patch of land at the back of our houses.
Regular thing to receive half a dozen of each over the fence. Those duck eggs, huge, and totally free range. And free.

I feel the same about the John Lewis advert (wash your mouth out, I here the twitterati shout). It advertises nothing, it doesn't put across the message of Christmas, all Black cast, an envious dog.
Clever filming, but apart from that, what's the purpose?

Phoenix reacted to Cisse in watches....to dream on for
I don't think fake watches devalue the real ones. On the contrary I think it makes the real ones more desirable perhaps. For me the value of the watch is in the craftmanship, artwork and technical achievments of the watch.
The fact that I can get most of money back if I need to sell is a nice bonus. So is the thought that my watch will go on generations after I'm passed away with someone supposedly appreciating it.

Women who think it's smart/trendy/sexy to have their bra straps showing. Looks like they've been kitted out at the local Salvation Army.

Anorak alert. That would have been Georg Händel, then. The other guy wasn't born until 1685.

F***ing tractor drivers towing trailers, who find it essential to drive from Ashbourne to Kirk Langley at 20 mph in the pitch dark, at 6 pm on a Saturday evening, without even considering pulling into one of the mutiplicity of lay-bys or bus pull-ins.
