Jurassic World: Dominion
As far as I can tell the critics don’t like this much because, unlike the original, it’s not a ground breaking classic directed by a genius director at the top of his game.
However, this most recent instalment of dino-based shenanigans satisfied my inner 14 year old self well enough. Fast paced and generally entertaining - if a bit too busy and messy at times.

This sounds feckin brilliant. Might have to watch it twice.
Many will. It’s a global hit. I just checked and Rotten Tomatoes shows 97% positive with the critics and 99% positive with the paying punters. I’m obviously in the minority and chances are you’ll enjoy it.

I think 0 is a tad harsh, you get 1 point for being able to spell your name write in an exam.
And I'm not sure how you'd top the special effects.
But overall I'm with ya.
Cruise was still good though.
Without him it would have been a plane wreck.
Yes, you’re just a bit more generous about Tom Cruise’s impact than I am. I enjoyed the most recent Mission Impossible (and Edge of Tomorrow and some others) so I don’t think I have Tom Cruise derangement syndrome. However even he needs a half decent plot and script which he didn’t get here.
I agree with you about the aerial special effects. However, if I’d given that 10/10 it might have suggested that I’d pay to sit through the film once again just for that - and I really wouldn’t.

Top Gun: Maverick
A trite, superficial, adolescent melodrama involving a series of cartoonish relationships with an undemanding ‘Boys Own’ adventure tacked on the end.
The mostly boring and self-pitying first two thirds - 0/10
The more action focused final third - 5/10
The big budget special effects - 8/10

I've still not had mine. I've been around people who have had Covid and and I believe me and my family all had it back in Jan/Feb 2020.
I'm respectful around others and keep my distance as much as possible when out and about. We have to wear masks at work in the factory although other factories (JCB at Rocester) are relaxing that rule from 6th September.
I don't do Ivermectin, I don't do any drugs if I can help it apart from alcohol. I don't try and convince anyone else not to have the jab. I just quietly get on with my life as best I can, at the moment the only thing I can't do is go abroad.
I know of two people who have died after having their jabs, both had underlying problems, maybe if they'd caught covid they would have died anyway but we'll never know. One was 48 and one 58.
Seven people I work with are currently off with covid. Two have serious symptoms, struggling to breathe although not hospitalised as yet, all are double jabbed.
Two other colleagues are off with adverse reactions to the jab, both had blood clots and were treated as emergencies at the time although they seem to be out of trouble now but still weak and resting.
I know one person who had a hernia at the start of lockdown and couldn't get treated due to hospitals not wanting to do face to face appointments. He ended up paying privately through Nuffield because of the extreme pain he was in and got his operation. He came back to work this week and is now worried to death about paying off his hospital bill. He's come back to work early on restricted duties to start earning again.
Just my recent experiences working in a factory of nearly 600 people.
There's no conclusion as such, just a post to say that don't treat all unvaccinated people as if they are the enemy and to recognise there is a potential problem for many people who have not been treated for other illnesses during this period due to the restrictions.
Everyone I know (eventually) made the decision to be vaccinated largely based on the overwhelming scientific evidence and medical opinion that the vaccines have been a huge success at doing what they what they were designed to do - massively reduce your risk of serious illness, hospitalisation, death.
From the news/internet I know that a minority of older people (over 50s) are making the decision not to be vaccinated for some reason or another. I guess some of those people, like you, are mainly focused on personal, anecdotal, evidence to either make or justify that decision.
You might be lucky, but in my opinion anyone who is old enough to have good memories of the last time we won the old first division and who still chooses not be vaccinated is making a very risky decision based on a flawed cost/benefit analysis.
It’s all very well posting your reasons for not getting vaccinated to a bunch of opinionated randoms on a footie forum – but seriously, at your age, I think you should also check out your GP’s opinion given they’ll know your individual health circumstances.
