    Not necessarily.
£30m including the Stadium wont touch the minimum requirements to exit administration and satisfy Legal and EFL requirements. Therefore Quantuma cant accept it.
If the Binnies won't go higher they are out.
Quantuma have said negotiations are ongoing and it can only be hoped that the remaining parties will go higher. It speculates in the article that nearer £50m is required. My guess was £55m based upon reading the Creditor list and the supposed loans etc.

Probably don't want Rooney to know, the administrators have said certain information has been leaked, possibly now on a who needs to know basis. All his role in this is to manage the First team and select the squad, everything else comes under the administrators.

It's been said for a number of years there are too many football clubs and a number of them won't survive,it's possible Covid has escalated this, just a thought.

Yeah, the best we can hope for is 25% or 35% to HMRC, but I doubt they will accept it. However, if one of the bidders has offered 50% to HMRC over 2-years in Championship or over 3-years if relegated, then that might need some discussion or clarification with HMRC.
Also worrying is whether the EFL will accept it.  Technically, they might have to - but hit us with a 2 or 3-year budget / crucifixion plan (e.g. can't pay fees for players etc.). They're adamant that the 12-point deduction was just the first part of the punishment. They're not gonna let us buy a player for say £1M or 2M if that money could have gone towards the creditors.

We all know how ministers for various departments say one thing and then are overruled by another,I cannot see why the sports minister would have any jurisdiction over what the HMRC decide.

If we go down can we afford to keep him with the reported salary that he is on. Is there a relegation clause in his contract or will he volunteer to take a pay cut?

You seem to be working under the assumption that Quantuma have the power to appoint a preferred bidder when it's clear that nobody wants to buy Derby for a price that will keep HMRC, the creditors and the EFL on board.

Yep Quantuma have released lots of information, including an article about the change in HMRC rules and titled something along the lines of "Are Football Clubs Worth Saving Anymore"
That's enough to set alarm bells ringing for me.
Oh and if it's of interest:
I attended my first match at the Baseball Ground in 1974.
I looked after the Gas Infrastructure at the Baseball Ground for several years and became good friends with the old groundsman, John Dodsley.
I managed the Gas installation at Pride Park.
As a junior football coach, I  spent 2 years working with the Academy when it was based at Repton School and ran joint coaching sessions with Eric McManus and other Academy Coaches.
I have no desire to see the demise of Derby County.

Taking on board facts and interpreting publicly available information doesn't make me a Forest fan.
There are plenty of other realists on this forum who don't want to see the extinction of a Famous Old Football Club, but that can also see how difficult it's going to be to get the club sold.
IMO, if Quantuma get this over the.line, then they will have done an amazing job.
Don't forget, my information re HMRC is from Quantuma's own article. Add that to the information Quantuma have released,  (or not released) the EFL statements etc, I don't have a great feeling.
Let's just hope my gut feeling is wrong.

But that only applies to Ordinary Creditors.
All Football Creditors (which includes all staff wages, pensions etc) must be settled in full. And as I understand does not include HMRC which now come before some secured creditors under the 2020 ruling.
I do not honestly believe HMRC are going to take a massive hit. The rule was changed to prevent administration being used as a mechanism to dodge tax repayments in instances like this. I genuinely believe they are out to make a point with a club as a message to all others that it will never be allowed to happen again.
Social media is full of people screaming at Quantuma about why haven`t they accepted the Binnies £28m bid and moved it on. IMO £28m ain`t gonna cut it!
