Look I think wyan will be here he would not be saying he wants things in place so he can do some thing business if he was leaving would he.
Well yes i think he would but he has to be seen as coming across positive, now it's not his U.S buddy getting the reins he will have some excuse or other up his sleeve.

I think Forest will come back in for Buchanan with a revised offer and the administrators will accept.

If anyone's mad enough to pay money for Lawrence and Marshall knowing both their contracts are up in the summer then bring it on.
If someone offers a minimal sum for Lawrence he will be sold, might as well get a bit of cash as none at all.

Might be an option if we cannot renew Jags. But it’s just an example.. there’s a few out of contract already and maybe a few more in January.
Depends on what sort of a wage bill the administrators have in mind.

At the risk of log-rolling, I agree ?
Whenever a non-Derby supporting friend or acquaintance asks me how Rooney is doing, I generally say "OK, reasonably well considering what he's having to deal with" and that about sums it up for me. Not badly enough to suggest that "any other manager would be 20 points ahead" or similar.
I certainly am not in the camp of "any other manager would be 20 points ahead" ,it is what it is but for some to imply Rooney is doing a brilliant job under the circumstances and is improving as he goes along, anybody in a job 12 months should be better than when they started. i just think he is in the wrong job at the wrong time as a rookie manager.

No, the EFL did that. ?
Only because of the way our previous owner had left the club in a shambles financially.

Guess it could be. If they've already got the funds too and are going to try and recoup their money through selling crypto shares through fans it could actually be a real thing. Strange that this would come out on Christmas day though.
Try getting that passed by the EFL

Exactly - he’s had to scrape the barrel! All of this is nothing to do with Rooney! It’s Mel who left us in this financial mess!
Re curtis - Rooney still resigned him whatever…and the signing of jags was top drawer given our limitations
I couldn't agree more but regarding the signings especially Curtis was a good signing but i don't think he took much persuading,he didn't sign because of Rooney, he signed because of his commitment to the club whoever the manager was.

Awww no ? from you? ??
How do you know - are you his dad or something?
You are missing the point - Rooney did not have to resign him - we had a limit of players we were allowed to sign! (Was it 5?)But as has been said before what players would accept £4.5K a week, people say he has done well to get the players in, Curtis was happy to accept that because he loves the club.Rooney didn't really have an option not to re-sign him. He had to scrape the barrel as it is.

For peanuts
When we are in debt up to the eyeballs i wouldn't call each player on £4.5K a week peanuts.

Certainly puts us at an advantage but there is no such thing as a FREE loan these days. And just to reiterate - we have been under and embargo, and just the small matter of administration over the past 3 months
Didn't stop us bringing the other players in did it.

If the administrators still need to reduce the wage bill lets see how many of those on a 6 month contract get a new one.

Seems to be a bit of meddling from a disgruntled failed purchaser.
Ramtrust and the like will be all over it.
But, they had 30 days way back in sept to launch this.

Yeah their clubs let them go anywhere they like for a handshake and signed photo.
But surely if he has that many connections as some seem to believe they would help an ex player out knowing they are in safe hands.

Rooney has been getting better as a rookie manager. If he was allowed to get some players in - like the few loans we had last season... Plus how many other managers that we could attract would have the 'pulling power' of Rooney or be as interesting to the mainstream meadia?
Mac4 is unlikely I'd think, he's chosen another career path.
Rooney fitted in well with Kirchner as he is well known in the US, this would also have raised Kirchners profile over there. The new owners might not want the club in the media spotlight especially as it seems to be for the wrong reasons.
I am not getting into the discussion of whether Rooney has been getting better, when you have been in the position for a year anybody should be doing better.

We've had a tough couple of years and the downwards spiral continues. The breaking news today that a Preferred bidder would not be announced this side of Xmas, which essential means not until at least the second week in January as there are obviously still negotiations going on and Xmas holidays where sod all will be achieved.
The major risks to a deal are in my view:
HMRC - I think the best deal we can hope for is a very long extended time to pay, I doubt they will reduce the debt, a long pay back period is the best we can hope for.
Mel Morris - A man that was deceitful to the fans, ran up huge debts and has walked away with an £81.1M asset in his back pocket with a £20m loan secured against it. Lets also not forget his £124M in soft loans to the cub. I think he should personally throw the stadium into the deal providing the MSD debts are cleared. My understanding is he wants a payment, if not why has he not put in writing that the ground can be included in any sale providing that MSD has been paid off. After all he caused this mess!!!!!!
The unsecured creditors - I pretty much see they will accept the 20p in the £. So this does not concern me too much.
Boro & Wycombe - Owned by a pair of chancers and opportunists that are trying to make million's out of our club, or maybe even trying so seen it go under all together because the £51M combine claims are a risk. I don't think they have a cat in hells chance winning legally, but in this strange Football Bubble we live in who would think that the EFL could sign off our accounts and agree our amortisation policies, only to go back several years and punish us retrospectively after changing the rules.
Covid - The threat of crowds being reduced due to passports and lockdowns is also a risk to the club, as it will reduce revenues.
When you throw all these moving parts in together, is it any wonder the fans are anxious. I'm going to make a prediction now and its one where there is a fire sale in January, the administrators will then try to value the club at the same price as they did at the start of this process only to find out they've fooked the sale up. Liquidation is looking more and more like the most likely outcome for me!!!!
So who thinks we will survive an why?
Who thinks we will be liquidated and why?
Regarding HMRC, if the clubs want to extend the payments longer than 2 years then 35% has to be paid off at the beginning.
-
You can laugh as much as you like Roy but if they have previous ownership credentials i very much doubt they will see a rookie manager on high wages as the way to take the club forward. More likely go for a pair of safe hands and no don't ask me who,i have no idea.

Or CK was the only one bigging himself up on social media and visiting the ground - what was Rooney to say 'duck of ya chancer and wait until you've bought the Club'?! ? Of course his agent is involved too, but what other 'buyers' might think is not known yet.
Rooney sold his image rights for £30M+ for some reason while we have been in administration,as you say with his agent being involved too. Nobody knows what was being discussed behind closed doors,as i said that's just my take on things.

I’m disgusted the Administration’s not revealed the preferred bidders details today. Don’t they know Derby’s futures more important than religion?
Sigh.
Don't forget it's also a designated bank holiday Monday/Tuesday with Christmas day/Boxing day falling on a weekend, they won't be working those Two days either or if they do they will be upping their hourly rate.
