To have stated on Christmas Eve that Kirchner had pulled out (his team's bid not being the best). Then that leaves 2 bidders left in the melting pot. One of them according to the Administrators had upped their bid (I assume that meant they put more cash on the table). They then stated the preferred bidder would be announced imminently. Ok we then have Xmas day, Boxing day then the next 2 days as bank holidays. The way I read it; to state imminently means they must have made a decision on the Thursday or Friday (Xmas eve). And its just a matter of talking to the winning bidders, going through all the legal stuff, sorting out the agreed terms and getting all the "T's " crossed and all the "I's " dotted. And everthing all signed up by all parties (which could include share/stake holders).
So I expect an annoucement by the administrators by Thursday or Friday (New tears eve). If there is no announcement of the preferref bidders, then we are done for and the administrators have had us over.
All a winning bidder means what is best for the creditors and the offer to satisfy the debt as far as the administrators are concerned, it then moves onto discussions between the winning bidder/EFL/HMRC to come to an agreement regarding a CVA.

Maybe buyers then ?
If you mean that buyers are stalling in the hope of finding which league we are going to be in before making an offer the administrators are not football experts they are financial experts. Once the administrators have completed their tasks of satisfying creditors then it is up to potential new owners to decide if the club is a viable proposition worth buying/saving irrespective of which league we are in.

The way they spin makes me think so.
They aren't spinning anything and don't forget they don't have to keep us informed of anything.

I'm afraid the administrators are just as incompetent than Morris was. At least Morris was hoping for clubs best.
How do you come to the conclusion the administrators are incompetent? As i have said they are here for creditors not to save the club.

Just curious....I don't mean this in an insulating way at all. I'm not even saying you're wrong; I think we all fear the possibility. But I'm just trying to understand where you are coming from.
- Are you ITK?
- Or are you naturally pessimistic?
- Or are you relatively young and not old enough to remember all the previous troubles the club has been through?
- Or just looking for an opportunity to say "told you so"?
I understand where he is coming from, some on here are saying the administrators are not doing there job, stringing it out etc, people need to realise the administrators job is to work for creditors then save the club if possible, not save the club then pay creditors. Whilst we have more outgoings than incomings then the administrators cannot sell the club as we are trading whilst insolvent and there responsibilities are to address that. If possible new buyers then think the club is not viable and cannot be sold then it goes into liquidation

I wonder if they’re actually stalling a bit as we are looking quite good results wise at the mo. Maybe the admin or buyers want to know for sure what league we’ll definitely be in?
It is not in administrators remit to "stall a bit" they are there working for creditors not the club. As soon as there is a suitable agreement for the creditors then the club can be sold unless the debt to be serviced is too high, the administrators won't bother what league the club are in and people have to understand they are not working for the club but for creditors.

Don't think we will hear any news of potential new owners till Friday at the earliest. If it goes over to next week then we can loose players.
They have to announce the preferred bidder and go through all that entails before they are anywhere near announcing a new owner,we can still lose players next week. Until new owners are named the administrators are fully in charge.

Glad you find it all so amusing.
Don't think anyone is finding it amusing, people are having a pop at the administrators for not naming a preferred bidder by now and they are ripping the club off by delaying it. It has been delayed for reason(s) which we are not privy to. Before/if they can name a preferred bidder/new owner every penny of the debt has to be accounted for, with the myriad of different companies owned by MM involved nobody should be surprised it is taking so long.Is there still a chance we could go into liquidation then yes if the debt is too high to be serviced.

I'm firmly in the glass half empty and just shattered camp, but even I know that 4 of the last 4 and a half days have been bank Holidays.
Without a shadow of a doubt, an announcement will be made today, tomorrow or Friday.
If we receive yet another delay message then things are about to go south.
In all honesty is anyone really surprised that the naming of a preferred bidder has been repeatedly pushed back, don't think anything will be announced until next week no matter how desperate Rooney is for it to happen.

Yes. This is the most recent message I think. Maybe the MM agreement is to transfer the 202 shares to the purchaser and waive his claims against the club holdco. Don’t think he’d need to do much else. As for MSD I’d guess all they need to agree is a redemption amount - assuming nothing is being rolled over
Not one of us on here really has no idea what MM will do,some are saying this, some are saying that. It's a waiting game and won't become clear until the washing is hung on the line to dry.

It did take someone else to mention him first though, to which said journalist commented 'would not be a surprise' due to Morgan and Moxey being close.
It would make sense, he is right, but I don't think he actually knows
Morgan/Moxey, not a very good omen is it MM

i drove through a bus lane on purpose a few weeks ago just so i could make a donation of £30 to Derby City Council.
you can thank me later
There was no need to do that, i am sure the good residents of Derby City Council will be happy to see their council tax rise to recoup the outstanding monies owed.

I am sidestepping the turkey today, and considering which of the 7 packets of cold meat (all with a use by date of 27 or 28 December) I should opt for. Unbelievably, one of the packets is sliced turkey. If my wife had brains she would be terribly dangerous.
Her name isn't Hazel(et) by any chance?

As i can work out Rooney is not correct and clutching at straws when he said the preferred bidder can take charge of the football side of things whilst the administrators sort out the other matters. A preferred bidder is just that, nothing more, nothing less, the bidder as they see as best for the creditors, there is still the matter of a CVA to be agreed between the preferred bidder, the EFL and also HMRC. The preferred bidder has no control over anything until they are actually named as the new owners of the club.

Today is Tuesday, and also a Bank Holiday. The most pressing matter for Messrs Hosking, Jackson and Andronikou today is whether they will be having cold Turkey in a sandwich, with mash, chips or bubble & squeak, or perhaps cooked again in some flavoured sauce, a curry perhaps. Just go and enjoy your Tuesday. Being frank, I wouldn’t bother clicking in to this thread much before Thursday.
Afternoon frank, what will you be having, just curious

Are people forgetting Red32 increased their sponsorship to give the club half the money to pay Rooney's wages. Club still pays them though but without Rooney sponsorship would be less
Clubs in League 1 are hardly featured on TV in live matches so if Red32 are going to remain a sponsor it will be at greatly reduced rates due to less exposure.

It is just a job to them, the creditors may not be available to ratify certain offers, it is not a 24 hour 7 days a week job..
