We are in for a very tough winter ( get ready for more restrictions/ controls ) ,,?
by winter how many in this country will have been vaccinated and or had covid already?
so what we are being told is vaccines don’t work and having it ( covid itself) gives no worthwhile immunity ??♂️
on this basis there can literally NEVER be an end to government controlling people’s lives at the drop of a hat ,
the oldest and best trick in the book ,control the masses under the guise of keeping them safe once you’ve scared them witless and dropped a few sweets in their laps short term,
How are intelligent people swallowing this hook line and sinker even when the contradictions and different rules apply for the high ups is so in your face blatant,
the damage done to our children is already immense, never mind the world being created for them going forward
WOW

Some bloke on the news suggests we could have a COVID jab in one arm and a flu jab in the other at the same time this autumn.
Boris says flu may return this winter.
ive not watched the news for ages, I knew it was a mistake to keep the telly on after a superb evening of footie.
Does anyone actually believe this stuff anymore?

Saw this this morning and rolled my eyes...
A key strategy of this Government has been to release information through the media before it becomes reality. I personally think that for some people, 2 jabs is enough and for a lot more people the July 19th extension is the last straw.
The GB News covid tweet I posted earlier in this thread (page 89) provided a bit of balance to the constant depressing news from BBC/Sky etc - they acknowledged that whilst infections were rising, hospital admissions had remained constant and discharge rates had improved massively with most patients only spending a couple of night in hospital now-a-days.
I am personally sick of all the constant doom and gloom.

I see the seeds are already being sewn for more restrictions this winter.
Apparently we are in for a rough winter and the NHS could be under immense pressure, not sure why when these restrictions lockdowns were under the headline of protecting the NHS and saving lives.
Appears that now they could put the NHS under pressure going forward and cost lives.
Also why is BJ on about foreign holidays being unlikely, I thought step 4 was the lifting of all remaining restrictions? Looks like they are trying to sneak in a step 3.5 while nobody is looking.
Had the news today that my daughters induction day at senior school cannot go ahead because of Covid restrictions, gutted for her. We really are ruining kids lives.

Well, no. We're talking about a thread for adults to discuss a news channel being closed, because a few cannot help but goad others and turn it into a political history lesson.
Don't cancel my opinion on a news channel because you can't control your urges to troll and keep within the rules of the site.....

One is not wanting to allow opposing ideas or discussions to take place - modern day book burning
The other is not wanting to pay for content you don't watch. The loony lefties on twitter have been telling us the advertisers pulling their adverts from GB News are a result of market forces. I wonder why they don't want the BBC subject to those same market forces?

Doesn’t really matter if you agree with a lot of what I post and visa versa as people just can’t always agree on everything and as I posted the other day I’m pretty sure that most people on here would be pretty shocked to find people and their opinions are not so black and white opposed if they sat down to have a proper chat / debate over a coffee , it shocked me at first when certain people clearly saw me as right wing , borderline racist , now it just makes me chuckle as it’s miles off ,
I think your lads view is great and I respect it , as for my two I push them for and expect only that their decision be informed and thought through properly , luckily they are both fantastic kids I’m lucky to have??♂️

Its all about personal risk imo.
My lads are young and fit with no health problems. They live with their mum and I who are both the right side of 50 and healthy - and their grandparents have been jabbed and are happy to have them round for visits etc.
You have to weigh up your risk of catching covid, then your risk of developing a bad case of covid, then any potential risks of getting the vaccine. The jab apparently already displays a couple of unexpected characteristics and there are some albeit 'unevidenced' concerns with spike proteins the vaccine contains;
https://fullfact.org/online/conservative-woman-vaccine-scientist-spike-protein/
My lads are in such a low risk group that imho they are far better waiting for the long term data of any potential unforseen side effects re. vaccination than they are in getting the jab now.

How about any cause with 28 days of eating a kebab
Any cause within28 days of a road accident
any cause within 28 days of seeing a Chris witty slide

Strangely the very kind of death that would have been included in the death from any cause within 28 days of a positive test ,,,, hmmmmm and you don’t even have the slightest awareness when you post this stuff ????

You state these are random occurrences, as if that's a fact, without knowing anything about it, how delightfully arrogant of you.
-
Archied reacted to Stive Pesley in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
Sorry mate - but you are attempting to link 2 random occurrences to the vaccine. With zero medical evidence. That doesn't deserve anything else but derision
Come on - covid vaccine responsible for a muscle tear in the calf??

For me it’s not just about what the restrictions are now, the more depressing thing is the constant threat that the gov can ,will and do change our lives at the drop of a hat and based on data that they decide the meaning of , models from modellers constantly looking for the worst case scenario to scare everyone and always turning out massively wrong ??♂️

Archied got a reaction from Angry Ram in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
From what I’m seeing and hearing it’s a mix of fear of the virus , carrot and stick fear in terms of do as we say or we make restrictions worse again and for lots the trade off of home working , free money schemes and the like is working out ok for them on balance of pros and cons ,,,
It’s our children and grandchildren I worry about,
personally I’m done with it now , I will not do holidays until this madness is gone , I will not go to a restaurant, football game , theatre or anything that forces me to wear a mask , give my name and address or any other restrictions such as vaccine passport ( had both jabs),
I will not ever have any type of booster or ongoing jabs ,
as you say above I’m also beyond believing this is about public health and at some point you have to make a stand ,bloody shame though as at 60 years old I should be slowing down and enjoying the nice things in life ,seems there’s not too many of them left at this point??♂️

Yes this is my fear too.
The amount of people saying 'its only another month' is scary.
We had restrictions imposed a whole 15 months ago now and were told it was '2 weeks to flatten the curve'. We have not had our freedoms back since then.
