If I had the time and the desire to game a few hours a day, I could hold my own online, but the times I do go online I tend to get destroyed and it annoys me so I avoid it.

I hear all about Fortnite from schools... Do not get the obsession.

I thought you weren't allowed near schools since the conviction?

Fortnite graphics appeal to their targeted demographic and also allows them to have things like launch pads etc. in the game. Imagine Fortnite looking like PUBG but with some of the weird pickups... just wouldn't work.

I class myself as a semi-casual gamer but have grown up playing competitive gaming at a grassroots level where you would put in the hours against the top tier players so you could get better. Epic really need to put in skill based matchmaking before casuals are really put off by the skill gap that is slowly becoming apparent in the game.

Yeah I used to be a big fan of Battlefield 3 when that came out and was proudly average at it.

Came back to it a couple of months down the line and just got battered into submission.

I mean FIFA has managed to match me up pretty fairly over the years. It's a game you can put down for a month and not come back to finding gaming elites everywhere.

Gran Turismo had a good attempt at matching driving styles but hasn't figured out how to decide which driver is responsible for ramming. You can get punished for someone brake checking you.

  3. I don't get the fuss with Fortnite. I played it a bit but it was like Spyro graphics with some ridiculous building system and bunny hopping. Any shooter that has players bunny hopping is crap.

It's a shame DayZ never sorted itself out. So much good stuff in there.

My main reason for hating shooters is because I get killed before I can even play. Nothing like being in a match with gamers who put in 8 hours per day.

  4. Frank Warren looks a right mug after that opponent. If that's the sort of level we are starting from then Fury will be back to his best by the time Hughie Fury gives a good interview

Would he even use him for sparring?

Cruiserweight, fought mostly bums with terrible records. Fought Charr once and lost a UD. Guy poses no threat to Fury, even a fat Fury.

Bit disappointing. Could have aimed higher surely? He needs to make quick work of it

Fury vs Seferi confirmed for 9th June

Never heard of him but apparently he doesn't do 12 round fights? Still doing 8 and 10?

Ah well, at least Tyson is back

  7. Thought Selby would win that fight. Bet that upset the bookies?

Does Badou Jack ever do boring fights? Always a good scrap. Might shut Stevenson up for 6 months at least

  8. Lomachenko v Linares was thrilling!

Lomachenko was starting to dominate and enjoy himself before the equaliser.

I don't like Hughie Fury. Don't like his boxing style, can't listen to him... Not for me.

Don't hate defensive fighters but with Hughie it's all about trying to win rounds with harmless jabs using his reach. Cheap point scoring. There's no real menace in much of his work. The best thing he does is his counter right hook when cornered.

I don't get dropping back down to British level. Where now? He's calling out world champions... Well why drop down to Sexton? There's Breazeale, Molina, Whyte, Miller etc  who are all ranked high in WBC. Work up to a title shot? Instead of talking trash and fighting Sam Sexton.

Lomachenko v Linares was great though. Fighters not protecting records, having it out, fighting like champions.

And unbelievable accuracy. Watched the finish back in slow motion and every one of his last ten shots was on target - that is impressive. Really decent bloke outside the ring as well, true great.

Did you see the interview after? That Max Kellerman is a bit of a knobber.

  10. Just watched GGG.

    Concrete head. Concrete fists.

Only age is beating him. Some young fighter to hit and run and win on points. While he keeps making middleweight he's impossible to hurt.

  11. I like Bellew but I don't understand him calling out Andre Ward.

At what weight? Light heavy where Bellew got beat up by Stevenson and Ward beat Kovalev twice??

Ward at cruiserweight? Bit big isn't it?

There's heavyweights he could fight but they won't earn him anything. Someone like Christian Hammer. Who wants to see that fight for £20ppv

At cruiserweight theres Usyk assuming he wins the series but that's not a superfight because Usyk  has mostly fought in Eastern Europe. Be a great fight but can't see it catching the general public interest.

  12. I thought Bellew might win if he took Haye into the 2nd half.

I thought Haye might win if he took his time and didn't get involved.

Didn't imagine Haye would be so poor. That's the worst performance of his career surely.

Awful balance, awful footwork, the jab was quick but the right hand was telegraphed.

Even the first round, I gave it to Haye, but it was way closer than I imagined. Haye always starts fast and as soon as Bellew doubled the jab Haye would back off. In round 1 I'd expect him to be doing his usual excellent slipping into position.

    Odd performance.

Never liked him but still sad to see a great fighter go out with a whimper.

Lenroy Thomas v Joe Joyce... very dangerous fight. Thomas at 6ft 2 giving away 4 inch in height constantly dipping to about 5ft 10 leaving his head exposed to get beat up. Corner should have thrown the towell in. Was nothing to gain from it. No one could have predicted it was such a dangerous mismatch but it was obvious inside the opening minute.

Haye. But I said that first time around.

I look at the two of them at the weigh in and, whatever yarn they're spinning about game plans and all that, Haye just looks so honed compared to Bellew I can't see him losing unless he breaks something.

Intriguing is right, but I don't dislike either man, so I don't care who wins really.

I think everyone would agree Haye is better in every possible way.

But when was the last time he was in a real fight? It was 2012 when he fought Chisora and ended it in 5.

Bellew thinks Haye is 6 round cruiserweight beast and that much is fact. A 12 round heavyweight? 12 fighting rounds? Well that's not been tested since 2011.

Bellew will do everything he can to get Haye fighting into the second half of the fight. He'll want to keep Haye busy. Hence all the baiting.

Haye should take his time and respect that he's not fought a worthy opponent other than Bellew since 2012. And in that one worthy fight, against a cruiserweight, Haye's body couldn't do 12 rounds.

If the arrogant knob head can appreciate he's not God's Gift then he could walk Bellew through this and maybe stop him later

Anyone bothering with Haye Bellew tomorrow?

Deffo. I don't think it's a relevant fight to what they should be doing but it's got to be even more viewable after Bellew upset all the odds in the first fight.

Undercard isn't stacked for a Sky show.

    It's intriguing if not essential

    Who you going for?

  15. Can see Bellew trying to get Haye losing the plot again but you can't tell yet if Haye is biting.

If he isn't and he goes into this taking his time prepared for a 12 rounder I'd say Haye by KO in Rounds 7- 10

If he's biting, feeling the pressure, already has one eye on his promoting career and he forgets that Bellew needs this himself or he will have nowhere to go then I can see Bellew snatching it somehow.

I'm not sure how this (or the first fight!) has generated as much interest as it has. Take both fighters individually and they're struggling.

Haye... losing to a cruiserweight leaves him laughed at by the heavy division. He's not high enough ranked to force a title shot. He has nothing Joshua needs. He might have the household name to tempt the likes of Dillian Whyte into a fight but I doubt it. He poses a significant threat and has no value.

Bellew... moved away from the big cruiserweight clashes to fight Haye. He's missed the cruiserweight tournament and now there's some real talent in the division about to unite the belts. Heavyweights are all too big for him.

These guys need each other. With no where to go and no titles on the line, fighting at a weight that is only "Heavy" by name it a surprise that the hype is there.

Where does the winner go? If Tyson Fury doesn't give them a payday they'll hang around in their respective divisions for what? Couple of fights? Then retire.

Haye wins spectacular and he might just get himself back in the mix but time is running out and I don't think his heart is in it

Yeah, Haye with an early knock out. I am surprised Bellew has taken the fight. We all know he didnt have the power to knock out an off-ballance, one-legged Haye in the first fight. He even lost one round on the scorecard after the injury got really bad. Plus we all know how hard the old Haye could hit. Has his ego got in the way? Or will he look to survive?

Maybe he needs the money for his kids . Neither are likeable, but Bellew is the one I want to see KO'd.

Is it at heavyweight? Haye looks a lot lighter now. Not really taken any of the build-up in or their weights.

I like watching Badou Jack fights. Him and Linares are my favourite non UK boxers.

People who don't like boxing should watch Linares fight.

May 12th I think Jorge Linares v Lomachenko.

Lomachenko is just perfect isn't he? He lives a second in the future.

  17. That's 1 painter and decorator down. Now to a huge money fight v Paquiao. Maybe McGregor or John Cena? Who knows. It won't be Erroll Spence or Thurman though.

Awesome between Sean Dodd and Coyle. Really left it all in the ring and came out emotional wrecks in love with each other. Shame one had to lose. Better fight than the main event which was just as **** as expected

Don't understand all the vitriol toward Khan. He is largely in exciting fights, driven by the potential of a single knockout punch at any given point. He has probably fought more top level fighters than any other current British fighter and has done most of it in the US where it so difficult. He may have lost a few, but dusts himself down and goes again.

Brook is probably the one person he should have fought but hasn't - probably by pushing too hard for a Pacquio or Mayweather bout.

OK, hes a bit dim, but so would you be if you got knocked out 3 times in such spectacular fashion.

For me it's just how much rubbish he talks. He contradicts himself so much, goes back on his word and yeah, he's dim. I know being dim shouldn't be a reason to dislike someone but in boxing when people like Hughie Fury and Amir Khan are selling themselves and slagging off others it's just easy to take offence at how daft they can be.

I just don't like prizefighters tbh. I completely understand why Khan wanted to fight Canelo and I understand why Mayweather fought McGregor. Can't blame them. But for fans of the fighting it just feels like they're milking us.

That's why GGG is one of everyone's favourite fighters isnt it? He fights anyone, anywhere. Goes for the belts, is famously easy to work with. Just like the all action midfielder in football.

That Welterweight division is stacked with talent and Khan will avoid all of them to get knocked out by Paquiao. And everyone will buy it.

I'm surprised he hasn't called out McGregor for another farce.

That Mayweather/McGregor fight was ridiculous. The real fight was GGG v Canelo and those two clowns played out a pantomime for a fortune

  19. Yeah I've not seen much hype for Haye Bellew. But it's one of my favourite characters vs one of the worst. Rooting for Bellew but none of them will do much after this I don't think. Both kind of fell out of their division. What do you predict Norman? Are you backing Haye again?

I don't really want to see Brook v Khan that much anymore. Don't want Khan to get the payday.

I think Badou Jack v Adonis Stevenson is soon? You know Jack won't lay down for anyone.

  20. Fook me the media want everyone to be interested in Khan.

Not going to watch his fight but I do hope he loses.

It's shat all over the news. A win here puts him in line to face Terence Crawford, Kell Brook, Erroll Spence or Keith Thurman.

Yeah... he'll pick whoever bangs him out quickest and pays him the most.

He's in the sport for himself. Which is cool. But you can't expect to excite the public when all you want to do is carefully navigate your way to their bank accounts. David Haye already did that

  21. There's only ooooonnne Tyson Fury!!

I actually like Fury and Joshua. Don't think I support a fighter like a football team.

I've even changed my mind during a fight before. I wanted Lemiuex to beat BJS but BJS put on such a display that who wouldn't want to see him move onto bigger things.

People say some weird things about boxing.

There's loads of criticism for Eddie Hearn shows. I'm guessing it comes from people who don't see other shows.

It's like in football where everyone wants to spot the foreign wonderkid who's 16 and better than boring old Messi/Ronaldo. Or the "gengenpressing"

In boxing there's little trendy bandwagon things to say isn't there? Anthony Joshua is a target for quite a lot of it. He either has no boxing ability or he's unbeatable.

Thrilled that Fury is back. He's a troubled guy but for him to be 29 and missing out on this heavyweight drama would be a massive loss. Not just for him but also the shadow it casts over anyone who dreams of dominating the division. He'd haunt them. The man who freed us of the boring Klitschko brothers domination.
