  1. Friend of mine is a Chelsea fan so posted this, but interesting to see that Forest have spent more than Liverpool since May 2022.
  2. Hard to see Billam Smith doing much in this division unless he starts moving his head. He was getting picked off at will by Masternak and you'd think McGuigan will have plenty to work on if he doesn't want to see his guy stopped by Riakporhe or the like.
  3. Don't Worry Darling: with Harry Styles, Chris Pine and a couple more familar faces (Jonah from Veep for example). It's a bit of a cross between Edward Scissorhands, The Devil's Advocate, Mad Men and one other film that if I tell you what it is will spoil the plot. First twenty minutes is intriguing and, to be fair, almost keeps the pace up. The 'twist' is pretty darned obvious by the time you get there and there are a couple of holes in how the final scenes play out. But it's worth it, the soundtrack is probably the highlight. Ross McLaren / 10

    11 Points

If we lose it on a points deduction I think we should sue the club in question for cheating their way to the record.
  5. Endless crosses don't work, Paul Warne's made it worse, we're winning but I'm falling asleep again
  6. Or of my inability to remember I've done this one before.
  7. As a songwriter, pure and simple, I'd argue he's up there with Paul Simon, John Lennon and Bob Marley as someone who has a pantheon of songs that will be sung long after anyone reading this will have passed also. As a person he was a bit of an enigma, much about him was quite unlikeable but that is somehow the curse of the genius and the joy he has brought to so many was his gift. "Sad to say I must be on my way So buy me beer and whiskey 'cause I'm going far away (far away) I'd like to think of me returning when I can To the greatest little boozer and to Sally MacLennane"
  8. Bit like when we were at the top end of the Championship (yes, it did happen) and every year it was "we need to get up this season as the teams coming down are so strong".
  9. No it isn't. Poor recruiting in the summer, lack of effort from many players (100% agree with the comment on Hourihane from @Gee SCREAMER !! - he is stealing a living at the moment), often bewildering team selection and lack of tactical ability to break down teams who come to defend. All of these have led us to get pretty much what we've deserved, indeed it could be said (I won't claim it as a concensus) that had NML not had a bit of a purple patch we'd be showing a position that is probably a fairer reflection of the standard of football we have returned.
  10. I don't understand why someone would watch a clip where they know someone dies.
  11. Not sure I would call the Taylor era a debacle. Probably not the place to debate it but still.
  12. Katie Taylor has some balls (pun intended). What a fighter, and capable of taking herself to the point of utter exhaustion. A great war!
  13. So wanted to hate this but it's very good
  14. That Barry Powell miss in the game against Luton tells you everything you ever needed to know.
  15. Wasn't Sturridge set to go to Arsenal for £8m but they signed Bergkamp instead. We then sold him to Leicester for £300k.
  16. Little late to this so apologies. What I think was brilliant, and it was, about B4 was that on an internet forum where we can argue for fifteen pages about whether or not Chris Martin should come back (he shouldn't btw) he managed to bring out the best in us. He had an ability to allow us to come together for the very reason we joined this forum - Derby County. Genuinely, that is no small feat and I say with certainty that this forum, and most likely the lives of those who knew him, will be a poorer place with him not amongst them.
  17. That definitely happened at Darlington, in their old Feethams ground. Charged by a police house that game as well. Blimey it was all a bit lively back in those days.
  18. Nice one against Leeds, they had Yeboah, we had Gabbiadini. Think they won't 4-2 and were a strong side a division above us. But we have a good showing even if, ultimately, they were the better side
  19. Away at Hartlepool in 1984, first time in my lifetime we'd been in the first round of the cup. I got a train down from Newcastle, where I was living at the time. It was proper tasty, just a wire fence between us and the home fans. Every few minutes a group would jump over the small perimeter wall, run the sideline and jump into our fans for a bit of action. We lost 2-1, seem to remember John Robertson being utterly useless but not much besides We got ran back to the station with a police escort of about two officers who frankly didn't want to get involved. Back in the station all the Derby fans are on one platform and all the locals are on the other, baiting each other. I'm with the locals as I am going north, back to Newcastle, on my own and keeping very quiet. Till someone recognizes me and starts shouting at me across the platform "hey up", "what you doing over there" and all that. I just turned to the lad next to me and said "do you know that lad?". Got out alive, but only just. Seem to remember we drew them again in either the FA or league cup the next season, I gave that one a swerve.
  20. This weekend marks the earliest date that St Clods Day has ever fallen on. Even if the Blunts get maximum points from their next four games they can't get there till 2nd Dec. Still got four months to beat their own record of the latest date it has ever fallen in 2021.
  21. Not related to the above but I see you are trending on Twitter @DarkFruitsRam7
