It comes across as unprofessional of Krasner  to be commenting on things he cannot possibly know about. I haven't read the athletic article, I never do as it's behind a paywall. But maybe like I say  Krasner has sour grapes he didnt get the Derby gig but Quantuma did.
I think the only person who seems to have inside knowledge is Nixon, and that only from the Kirchner side of it. We still know very little about the other interested parties.

Actually even the St John Ambulance thing you can't just decide I wil pay that in full  because they are nice people but not the other creditors. Giving preference to them rather than HMRC would be dodgy too.
Obviously we all think you should pay your bills. For whatever reason and COVID is certainly one of the a big reasons  these bills went unpaid.
It's the fans who get punished if Derby go under. Not Mel morris. Maybe if we had a licencing system for owners that would be different. But we don't.  I see no reason to punish the fans for any wrongdoing by past owners.

Very sad news. Often overlooked when thinking back to the Jim Smith days, but as a few have mentioned, integral to those fantastic years and particularly important to attracting players over.
Had the chance to speak to him a few months ago and he told a great story of how he effectively was put in charge of convincing the overseas players partners that they should want to come and live in Derby. Jim would be swooning Eranio and co in one room, but he'd give Keith the orders to essentially chauffeur the wives around until the contract was signed.
A sad loss for sport in Derbyshire as well, as he was still active with Mickleover. RIP Keith.

I think I have been at acceptance stage since we went into admin... really if the wish fairy had said due to cutbacks she could only offer two wishes instead of three, one of them would be to ensure we still have a club even if we have to accept dropping into League One.

I always thought we had a good case against the 12 point deduction but was never sure whether it would make any difference to us as we had so many other problems anyway, and so it seems to be turning out.
My anger is at the whole situation, and by no means do I only blame Mel Morris. The whole system is corrupt, including the Sky TV money, the EFL, the Government closing the stadium without compensating the club . Maybe HMRC now if they are playing hard ball. So that anger certainly hasn't passed.

Look at the age group 40 to 50. These are people who are still suscepitble to severe illness or even death, but still with many years of life potentially. So hospitals will be trying to save many years of life that would be lost , people maybe with young children.

The stats above show that around 50% of COVID patients in this age group needing emergency care are unvaccinated, and around 44% of the deaths are from the unvaccinated patients.
In that group , 80% have been vaccinated, the other 20% not. So at the basic level it seems there are four times the numbers of vaccinated people compared to unvaccinated , but equal proportions presenting for emergency care. So you are four times more likely to need emergency care or die if you have not been vaccinated than if you have not.
It could actually be worse than that because as you say you would expect the people who were vaccinated to have more vulnerabilities than those that do not. It might not work like that though.

It was assessed by an independent valuer as the price to be paid by a willing buyer to a willing seller on a commercial arms length basis.

We are now in a situation where the main tenant is is in dire financial straits. No need for an independent valuer, especailly as Mel doesn'tt own the club anymore.

The stadium has to be sold to the buyers of the club  at an attractive price to make up for the unattractive debt a buyer of the club would be asked to take on.

What will bother HMRC is if they lose the tax they could have got if they accept a deal, and any future tax on revenues and spending. Just maybe remind them how much tax did they actually collect during Mel Morris tenure. Spending of what £250 million. PAYE of what £100 million. Employer and employee NI £30 milion. Stamp duty on PPS sale £4 milion. VAT etc. So what's that maybe £150 million thanks to Mel's high spending. Ok there's a £20 million shortfall now but on balance if I was the HMRC tax collector I would be very thankful  Mel spent all that money and didnt keep it all in his pocket.

So I wasn’t far out with my estimate of four times more likely if you are unvaccinated ? At least based on the 40-49 age bracket. Thanks max jam

My memory isn’t that great either. I listened to Whitty rather than the pharma companies. And I think he was saying something like 50% reduction in infection rates and 90% reduction in deaths and serious illnesses.

but really for me whatever the percentages any evidence like that of significant reductions in infections or deaths or both is enough for me. Depends on what you perceive your own risk is of course.
