TheAllestreeRam reacted to Bob The Badger in RamsTV Feedback
I think the biggest problem with RamsTV is the inability of Jack Woodward to get through a match without saying 'He's put a good shift in hasn't he Shane?"

Sky still has issues now with their Now TV service, the downtime and buffering worked as it frustrated me into adding the sports package my Sky box instead.....come to think of it, quite clever from Sky that was.
BT Sport is another horrendous app, that thing boots me out more than my ex did.

Would probably work a lot better if everyone who lived here didn’t go on a last minute holiday every matchday...

Yeah of course people have the right to be disappointed if it doesn't work. Bear in mind that there was no way of knowing if it will work without actually doing it though.
Did anyone try Sky Go in its early days? That wasn't good and that was Sky trying it and i paid a lot more for Sky. Works okay now but resolution still drops and freezes sometimes. I am just saying compare it to similar things and they also have problems, doesn't make it okay but can see that its a difficult thing to do.

Ahh I see, i think it can be any number of reasons. If you think about it, its is all the problems that a broadcaster would have along with all the problems that a streaming service will have but inside of a football club. Ive seen people on here compare it to Netflix, youtube etc when it is completely different, nothing on netflix is live and only a handful of things on youtube are live and they have had years to get that right. There are problems from time to time but its worth remembering that its a football club and not a full on dedicated streaming service. I'm sure things will be better next season though.

Im happy yeah of course, just trying to find reason why stream can't cope sometimes.

That's not how it works. Derby, Villa, Birmingham, Bristol City and a few others have their own systems but these are all subject to the EFL's Broadcasting Rights agreement. Clubs who have their own streaming service cannot negotiate them for themselves unless it is in a country where the EFL have decided they are unlikely to get a deal.

Unbelievable comments on here, I think Rams TV is awesome, the whiners on here criticising it ought to get a life. 30 plus games live for £110, less than £4 per match.
I have no problems here in the USA, so stop blaming the club and look to your internet connections, Mel has provided a fantastic service and I do not want any whinging whining idiots jeopardising it just because they don’t understand modern technology.

I emailed the club about this, apparently there was a small issue that occurred with regards to uploading the matchday live replays to this page but they told me that they are working on that and should hope to have them back on this page very soon. As Luke said, the best way to get to them will be through the match centre of the relevant game for now.

They are available, you just need to go on the match centre of each game!
Cardiff one here https://www.dcfc.co.uk/fixtures/results/2018/04/24/1st-team-v-cardiff-city#fullmatch

Is Allestree an overseas territory of Germany now? Must’ve missed that in the DET... probably because of the adverts.

yeah only in certain countries does RamsTV show every single game. If a broadcaster has the rights to show championship football in the country you're located in, you won't be able to watch the game.

I think it’s because it’s being broadcast abroad. Unfortunate it’s not just Sky dictating.

Classic late notice from the EFL but just making sure everyone knows that the Cardiff and Villa games have been selected for TV coverage.

The statement said “so now all games will be screened live in these countries”
now is now and not in the future.
well, now could be the past, depending if your typing now or reading now I suppose?
hope this helps.

Just seen this on the website, great news if you live in one of these countries! https://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/ramstv-availability-for-tv-games?nocache=1
There are a few good games on TV coming up.

Negotiating a rights deal is not done in one go. There is plenty of negotiation but it seems the EFL have not or are unlikely to ever negotiate a rights deal in these countries, so have now opened it up to the clubs to do as they please with but while negotiations are going on the club cant just show what they like. This allows the club to effectively negotiate their own rights deal and broadcast whatever they like as they are not tied into anything that the EFL has already signed. Birmingham came early in the season so probably wasn't open to the clubs at that point.
As for not understanding the message, it is quite clear. If you are in one of the countries you can now watch a game that ordinarily the club would not have been able to show.
Is it good news, relax.

Not sure why if it is on Sky it would have any bearing on it - think it would just come down to rights. It is probably a new thing, hence why the birmingham one was still blacked out.
