Agios Nikolaos. Decent sized resort with some music bars but not party central. Big enough to find a quiet area that suits you. If that is too busy for you Elounda is nice but can be pricey.

In actual history, they mount terrible losses until they get long range fighters to escort them. Many of them realise it's suicidal without escorts but the 'bravado' meant they carried on. They were barely any more accurate than night bombers, as having a better view of the target is countered by the Germans being able to see them. A couple of interesting facts are they shot loads of their own planes down in formation friendly fire and they shot more fighters down than they destroyed/stopped by bombing airfields and aircraft production.

I don't think we need a Eustace type player as much as i loved him, as the game has progressed. It's easier to pick up yellows now and pace is needed more. I's be happy with Bird as the deepest man and 2 energetic players in front of him, with some form of goal threat and creativity between them.

I was chatting to him and Doreen the other day. He is a little in and out with it. He looks physically very well.

Also watched the first 2 episodes of Masters of the Air, from the team that made Band of Brothers and The Pacific, which were great and good respectively. If you like poor acting, bullpoo bravado, historical inaccuracy and rampant anti-English sentiments then I'd heartily recommend it.

What did you think? just finished binge watching both series. It was good but not great IMO. Well made and acted but didn't bring anything new or extra to the tabe.

I'm sorry but people booing at ht and criticism on here are 2 different things. We win many games because we have some quality players who can pull something out of the hat and have 2 good centre backs.
