  1. If you aren't going to matches every week and just checking the scores then yes results are all that matter. For people with season tickets and/or regular away supporters it's bloody hard work watching this teams performances for the majority of games.
  2. He is a CM/DCM. Deep lying midfielder but creative passer. He brought the ball down brilliantly and played it to Sibley for the free kick for the first goal. Then scored. Then the subs came on and he was the deepest midfielder with space to play. For the second goal, Cashin made a run forward but misplaced his pass allowing them to break. Bird read the danger, ran back to intercept the forward before laying it square to Bradley to start the attack for the second goal. Just because he doesn't do massive crunching tackles, 60 yard balls or dribble past 5 opponents doesn't mean he isn't a good CM. His work is more subtle and not everyone can see it. Every manager picked him regularly. A top 6 championship club tried to sign him. He isn't having a great season but he has been around our 5th or 6th best player. Running around in a 2 with someone who can't run against against a 3 every week is difficult, tiring and I imagine dispiriting.
  3. Bird started running the game when we played with a 3 man midfield with 2 other people who can run. It's the system
  4. That Bird. He's shocking blah blah blaah
  5. That post makes no sense. You are asking how fans would cope which suggests a scenario that they are in charge, yet you just list things that are person in charge could change.
  6. Gave away a penalty and nearly gave one away when they scored.
  7. Other than we won, have you thought of anything?
  8. Without distracting with half time booers, Hourihane jeers and twitter idiots, are we OK to criticise that performance on here without being slagged off?
  9. One to bet on both sides scoring today. All the attacking plywrs on the pitch, nowhere to go if we are struggling. We need to score first then catch them on the break.
  10. I agree there is absolutely no link between being fatigued and not completing technical tasks precisely
  11. I forgot and logged on in a panic at 11. Got seats easy enough. Not sure it will get to 5+, will only be a few left. I'd get down to PP to stand a chance
  12. I can see you don't rate him in the yeast.
  13. Any news on Exeter City ticket sales? How many are left? Do I need to camp out at Pride Park tomorrow?
  14. He was a little further forward. A pressing 10 rather than a creative 10. A job Knight used to do at times.
  15. 433 isn't a change in formation. It's what we started with in our last game

    Nyambe

He may be injured as he wasn't even on the bench for the last game
  17. I'm not sure what we are disagreeing on but fair enough
  18. Boots on the Ground came from Maguire someone from outside the club but being an important figure in its recent history. Obviously his comment would be discussed as it was shocking. The other matter is one poster. Just put them on ignore. There are so many who post on here there are bound to be a few loons. Not sure one strange poster is worth a rant. I think questioning Clowes motives is unfair, but questioning his financial power to take us forward is debatable in a constructive manneris reasonable
  19. I'm referring purely to this forum. I don't do twitter and Facebook comments largely consists of morons so I rarely indulge
  20. Sneer and smear? Really? DC? who?
  21. Why are you persisting with a system that our players cannot physically sustain for a whole season?
  22. Bird, NML and Collins have played too many minutes and too high a pace and intensity. They are all now knackered. As our game plan involves running around a lot, this is a slight issue.
