This was there line up. Didn’t add more midfielders. They just moved the ball out quicker. Moses was chucked in at rwb and because one of their most important players. If we can start moving the ball quicker and sibley can be effective lwb we can be effective with 3 at the back. 
 

unfortunately we just lump it or sit back like Charlton second half all over the place. Also I’ve noticed cashin is half the player in a back 3 to a back 4. His positioning in a back 3 is all over the place same as left back. Watch the Charlton penalty back cashins positioning is all over the place when Coventry puts the ball down the line he gets done

In the same way that posters continually moan about Warne's press conference, there are also people who think 3 cbs equals a highly defensive 5 at the back.

As was mentiond earlier in this thread, thess debates are so tiresome and moronic.

Good debates are around the style of play, which system suits our players the best, do we have the right players, is the manager improving the players etc.

"Why does Warne say the opposition are good" and "why are playing 5 across the back vs this team" is just really boring.

Have we ever played 5 at the back this season? We have either played 2 cbs and 2 full backs, or we play 3 cbs with 2 high wing backs.

This post can’t agree more. 3 cbs doesn’t always mean negative I agree. Chelsea when they won the prem couldn’t win with a back 4 and moved to 343 and won something like 17 games in a row and stormed the prem having fell on the formation. 
 

our style of play though is we don’t use the formation great at all. We bypass midfield and don’t move the ball quick enough with 2 touch passing to get out and instead of using it offensively we end up getting pinned in with the wingbacks so high up we get countered. If we start to get the ball on the deck and get some movement higher up to pull players out we can get out and use it out advantage

I read posts from both points of view pro warne negative warne and can see valid points from both. One opinion is no more valid than the other

We pursue cbt all window instead of going for a striker who was badly needed and he can’t even get a look in while we play 3 at the back with wingbacks against a team who struggle to score and are down the bottom. Makes the transfer look pointless just give the guy a go

Maybe as we are all rooting for a change today to bring in the good fortune we could see a change from a bottle hat to a flag cap for Warney and a back 4 with cashin and Nelson back to centre half.

I’ve actually rated warne a lot through the season. When we had the purple patch and he picked a more front thinking team and took the game to the opposition and made forward thinking subs. Played 4 at the back. Since posh on New Year’s Day he has reverted back to the end of last season where he has become overly negative in games and sets us up depending on what the opposition does and tries to hold on to a goal lead from the start of the second half. The warning sign was theee when Charlton hit the post from a corner and started to gain control and he did nothing to try and get a foothold again to get us up the pitch when we couldn’t get out

Scott Minto reckoned he was a championship level winger and we'd got a great deal.  He needs a couple of games to see if he's any good or if we've broke another one.

You not seen the normal gameplay of get it wide and cross it. He will get the ball on the wing no problem
