It’s a disgusting result. An absolute shambles, but this isn’t a great football team so it isn’t a surprise.
This is the worst Derby County side in the club’s 138 history. We need to acknowledge that and adjust our expectations.
I think you’ve had enough. Put the lid back on the bottle, please.

Poor defending and poor penalty decision has given Morecambe a deserved lead. We look over complicated up front and somebody needs to shoot to score.
There is no way their lead is “deserved”. Sure, we’ve wasted our chances but no way have Morecambe been better than us. Hopefully Warne will fire a rocket up the lads’ backsides - well it is nearly bonfire night.

Those who are criticising/questioning Warne for saying Thompson played well need to remember that his job is to build confidence, not destroy it. Personally, I think Thompson would benefit greatly from a loan to a League 2 or National League club.

Saving him for Friday, surely.
Especially as Knight may have a knock.

What’s the verdict- incompetent, corrupt or under orders from the EFL? Easily the worst refereeing performance I’ve seen for decades.

Disappointing to see two blocks of seating left empty, one at each end of the away stand. That’s a few hundred Rams fans who have missed out unnecessarily. And lost revenue for Cambridge, who could probably do with it.

I recall he was very complimentary of our club when we drew with Sheffield Wednesday to stay up. Ahem.

The key issue that we all seem to grasp but Liam doesn’t is that Knight is our best midfield player and MUST play there. After that, the whole structure of the team will be forward looking rather than backward looking. My own eleven would be:
Wildsmith
Oduroh Davies Cashin Forsyth
Knight Bird
Mendez-Laing McGoldrick Barkhuizen
Collins
Subs Loach Stearman Roberts Hourihane Sibley Dobbin Osula

Derby 2 - 1 Wycombe FRGS Mendez-Laing

Can’t fault the penalty decision. It all came from us giving the ball away cheaply again.

Yes I remember the horrendous journey there for the FACup in the 80s on a really dirty tatty football special train then marched up hill by police then shoved in ground when no room until got to front. Remember as quite scary but I was only young at time so it perhaps wasnt or I was a wuss! Then they beat us with a terrible goal straight from corner in the replay.
Crikey, you must be nearly as old as me ?. I remember that replay, and going home afterwards wondering whether Derby would ever play another game. A situation very similar to the recent administration. Obviously the club survived and went on to better things. Same again this time, I hope.

Does anyone know how far Jason Knight is from a return to first team action?
