  1. Doesn't help them develop a set role I agree, but it does help them develop their all round game. You learn an awful lot from playing multiple positions. IMO we're lucky to have a classic "utility" man like Sibley - they are rare these days.
  2. It's worse than that. Some people were clearly furious about it, because they were so juiced and ready to start attacking PW for mis-managing a 0-0 bore draw. Almost like being on their vinegar strokes and their mum walking in on them...😂 It's a curious and downright weird segment of the fan base.
  3. Got to love a fan who still feels the need to have a dig at the manager after a win that cements us in 2nd place Proper moronic
  4. https://mashable.com/article/x-twitter-elon-musk-bots-fake-traffic An unprecedented 75% of twitter traffic found to be fake bots during the superbowl Yet twitter were crowing about how many impressions they got True to form, sounds like Musk is happy to artificially inflate his numbers to impress investors "Solved the bot problem" my arse
  5. Musk incorporated in Delaware because their tax laws are favourable, now he's being held to account by those same laws and the $51b compensation package he negotiated and agreed for himself has been found to be grossly unfair and that he misled the shareholders - he's (true to form) crying like a spoilt rich kid that it's all so unfair. He really doesn't like it when his insane wealth doesn't allow him to act with impunity does it? The more you look into his behaviour, the more crooked he looks So do you think it's OK that he totally misled his shareholders and awarded himself $51b because he wants to invest that in his space-faring program? Would it be OK if he robbed a bank? I mean he's a visionary engineer and entrepreneur right? Why does he have to resort to the actions of a criminal to fund this stuff? Can't he just use his visionariness? PS can you ask your hand model to clean their fingernails - the one in that picture is giving me the ick
  6. Looking forward to watching the first two episodes at the weekend. Gotta love LD!
  7. Oh young man - you cannot have both The bits that are excellent are not entertaining, and the bits that are entertaining are not excellent
  8. Exciting times, but weird isn't it - that Intuitive Machines and Astrobotic manage to go about their business quietly and with little controversy. Admirable, one might say
  9. And that's the only comfort we're left with really. If Clowes really trusts him, then nothing we say will or should change that I said after the Supporters Q&A though, that I found it disappointing that he acted so slippery under questions. He could have earned an awful lot more good will if he'd been honest and said "you know what - it was a really, really hard job, under difficult circumstances and I may not have got everything right, but I care about this club - and that's why I'm still here. Because I want to fix things. I ask for forgiveness and the chance to make it right"
  10. It was the same at the Q&A evening at Pride Park a couple of months back. He had some pre-prepared lines and he delivered them. When the floor was opened to Q&A - he just repeated them in various ways until we all lost the will
  11. Well said. It's amazing that so many wannabe intellectuals refuse to acknowledge this. One thing is clear - to start a human colony on Mars would require huge amounts of adaptability, both physically and mentally. And yet those advocating for it don't even to seem to be able to cope with mild ridicule, or critical analysis What is the melting point of a snowflake on Mars?
  12. Musk and Trump both appeal to pathetic and weak men. Because they are so obviously pathetic and weak themselves. They think - if these fellow pathetic insecure people can become rich and powerful, then maybe one day I can too Except - becoming rich and powerful doesn't make anyone happy. It hasn't worked for them and it won't work for you either
  13. Weirdly they switched the ads on after about 3 episodes so it felt very odd, but at least they are short and ignorable. I refuse to pay even more to not see them when I can just ignore them for free!
  14. We're enjoying S5 of Fargo anyway, particularly the way that they have upped the ante and include multiple "baddies" (the sheriff, the hitman and the mother-in-law). Gives the story a wider dimension for sure I did read a review that said it had gone down badly with the anti-woke brigade in the US because it had a strong female lead and made the men all look like morons. For me that's one of the things I like about it! That's life lads 😂
  15. This one dropped off the front page pretty quick eh? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-68167593
  16. This was blatantly obvious to me when I was having my gastro issues 2 years ago. I was on a waiting list and couldn't even get to speak to the consultant. When I investigated going private, lo and behold all the same NHS consultants were the ones you could immediately book for a private consultation But anyway we digress. Anyone else think it odd that the Royals have been so transparent here? Normally there is a cloak of secrecy over this type of thing
  17. Yeah I was being facetious about the fact that I have to fund my own health care. The Royal families expenses are met from the Sovereign Grant. This is paid from the Treasury, aka taxpayer funded.
  18. do you specialise in weird comments? I never said he was - in fact I literally said that I also had private health care. 🤔
  19. Yeah lucky is definitely the wrong word. You don't get private health care through luck. You pay for it Two years ago I was waiting to have a bowel resection for suspected cancer, and the op didn't happen until June. The NHS was and still is running on fumes when it comes to this stuff. I now have private health care because I learned the hard way that the NHS is a lottery if you want to get the best care, and there is not much more important than the health of yourself and your loved ones. I always swore I would never get private health care as well, on principle. But I agree that this is going to stick in the craw of anyone awaiting cancer treatment on the NHS, or anyone who has lost loved ones because they didn't get treated soon enough As for King Chazza - I hope he gets the successful outcome we've all paid for
  20. You could say that. Although Rio's generation of players are largely from working class backgrounds, they were the first to became insanely rich off the back of being a footballer, without having to be really world class Now we're at a point where I suspect even Championship level players earn more in a couple of seasons that I'll probably earn in my working life. The notion of "footballer" being a working class profession is long gone
  21. Only because of the class system I would genuinely watch it, if all the pundits were real grass roots folk and not just celebrity morons
