  1. It's definitely the 2020s version of the old joke - "how do you know someone is vegan?" 😂 To be fair though - there is a reason that most research points to the majority of BTC holders being millennials and Gen Z. We haven't exactly left them with a reliable future have we?
  2. Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa How long before the US is involved in some sort of war with the other 4 😬
  3. I used to think that, but if the extrapolated predictions that @MadAmster makes come true - they are unlikely to pick up any more points this season. Especially as they seem to have lost the fans and the changing room is also gone. So they'd finish on 13 - which I think was the previous low points record that Sunderland had? On that basis - it's still highly unlikely our record will be broken, but I wouldn't say impossible. I think we may see a few more teams crumble under the financial pressure of expectation as the Prem gets sillier and sillier in terms of money
  4. Feels like a long time ago that we'd have 15 year olds making the first team squad. Now we have 18 year olds who aren't even first choice strikers at the non-league club we've loaned them to being our "hopes for the future" 😂
  5. I guess the real trouble comes when the big financial institutions start leveraging their BTC holdings to generate returns?
  6. It's a place in Lincoln... apparently
  7. How the **** can you "loot" aid trucks that are bringing you aid?
  8. To be fair - I think if MM had been in charge while in this league, he'd have felt differently. It's a horrible league with poor quality players and the aim for any "big" football club like us has to be "just get promoted - whatever it takes".
  9. You've obviously not read his posts in the Jim Smith Room section 😂
  10. Joking aside, it does feel like under Clowes, we are essentially "fan-owned" anyway, so this role seems like a token gesture from him. I don't believe he'd consider any of those things for a second The irony is that we'd need this role if we were owned by some overseas billionaire, but they would never allow a supporter on the board!
  11. Interesting article on the BBC about who holds all the BTC Looks like the big banks and investment companies are now coming along to take control of the situation for us With only 1% of the "ordinary" global population holding BTC, it's hard to see how it's ever going to become the miracle solution to FIAT money https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-68434579
  12. I said much the same thing. To be fair, he's looked on his last legs for a while. RIP fella
  13. I simply don't have the time, but thanks for considering me 😂
  14. Objectively this is actually quite an evil genius move from Musk. We all know that we're living in an online world where all platforms are basing their business model on "user engagement" - which means they are actively pushing ways to make us argue amongst ourselves, as this drives their revenue Musk offering up the revenue share scheme where blue tick users receive a (relatively small) share of that pie if they get loads of engagement is actually quite clever, as it drives the model even harder. But also very risky as the danger is it will drive the platform into the ground, and all that will be left is a load of blue ticks left with no one else to troll But that's Musk's MO - make crazy risky decisions that just might work, or might just explode shortly after take off. Dust yourself off and try again
  15. Have you really read the Aluko article and not felt any empathy whatsover? I guess that's a rhetorical question
  16. Yeah ours was duel fuel to be honest, but it was so uneconomical on petrol, compared to LPG we developed an aversion to running it on petrol unless we were desperate
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68380445 Spot on from Aluko here. Horrific for people to have to deal with this sort of abuse We're at the point now that if people continue to defend new Twitter as "better", because "something something free speech", then they might as well just admit that they simply like the fact that people can be abused so openly in public
  18. Don't blame you. Sounds like a total pyramid scam like all the stuff around shitcoins Hands up who'd be surprised if they weren't reading a news story in 12 months about how it's gone bust and the owners are facing jail time? Meanwhile a load of boomers cry into their m&s meal deals
  19. Well the ICE manufacturers will all lose out eventually anyway when they are forced to move to EVs or cease to exist My point was that the cheapest Tesla model in the UK currently is £43k - and that's a ridiculous price for a normal person If BYD are bringing EVs to market at a third of that price, they are quickly going to marginalise Tesla as a "high end" brand, unless Tesla also start to make an affordable model
  20. https://thedriven.io/2024/02/22/corolla-killer-byd-launches-us15000-ev-in-direct-attack-on-legacy-makers/ BYD are surely going to start a price war with Tesla at this rate?
  21. Tonight, the Warne haters are like a teenage boy who has just found a jazz mag in a bush 😂
